Jersey history
recently I won a throwback monk jersey on ebay. I get the jersey, hold it up and see that the numbers are WAAYYY off center.
I was wondering if any of you know if there was ever a time where he had the numbers off center like that or if I just got hosed on this jersey? If not for the numbers like that, the jersey would be sweet.... here is a link to the same jersey so you can see it (sort of) first hand. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW I know it doesnt look too off there, but trust me it is ![]() |

Re: Jersey history
I think it's just a bad jersey. You should be able to find a tailor or a sports store that could restitch the though?

Re: Jersey history
Looks like a home made jersey to me, I've seen those before on ebay, sorry looks like you got hosed by somebody who makes those themselves, the Skins jerseys have never looked like that.
Looks like a Mitchell & Ness rip-off, and a bad one at that. |

Re: Jersey history
you got burned. e-bay is risky, you gotta really watch what you bid on. if it's to go to be true it probably is.

Re: Jersey history
I got a jersey exactly like that for xmas from my mom. Proaboly nothing you can do about it. For being scam jerseys, I actually kinda like the jersey. It is what it is I guess.

Re: Jersey history
You got hosed.
Good news: 99% of the people you pass won't know that.

Re: Jersey history
Always check feedback before buying. This guy has a good #, but I think he gets friends to give feedback. It's all generic A++++++++++++++++++ type crap.

Re: Jersey history
Ebay concerns me often. I've actually had to get where I get close to legal action on some people.

Re: Jersey history
As long as you're careful, you shouldn't have major problems with Ebay. Use common sense, don't buy from new sellers with little or no feedback, that's a huge red flag. Also stay away from people who don't use paypal and just want money orders, another big red flag. Also don't be afraid to ask the seller questions before you bid, and always, always check out their feedback. It's very easy to pick up on trends, crappy item quality, long shipping times, etc.

Re: Jersey history
Why is there a "Free Falcon's Jersey" web banner on the top of this page? No one on this board should want a Falcon's jersey.

Re: Jersey history
I thought this was a thread about the history of the Redskins jersey. Turns out it's just one buyer's purchasing problem.
Note to self: Never, ever shop Ebay!

Re: Jersey history
Ebay offers protection for their items, but it is only minor. Additionally if they are a verified PayPal customer, I believe you have protection up to $1000. Try to stop payment on this, or at the very least notify Ebay and PayPal (if used). You have a very solid breach of contract case due to "material differences." You should be able to get your money back if it is worth it to you.
