UFA Wishlist
Ok guys. A few days before we bring in a lot of NFL wannabees. Any prospects that didn't get drafted that you hope will be given a shot to make the team? Check out SI.Com if you don't have another resource. They have a by-position breakdown so you'll know if a player went undrafted or not.
My UFA wishlist TEs Adam Bergen, Alex Holmes, and Victor Sesay (local) :oink |

Re: UFA Wishlist
I'd like Jim Davis, Ernest Shazor, and any other lineman bugel and williams think could be good prospects. by the way, anyone know of a site that has the undrafted guys listed yet, or atleast shows the players by category and lists whose already been taken?

Re: UFA Wishlist
santonio thomas would pair up nicely with griffin, in our dt rotation. Its hard to talk about UFA unless youve watched them play. Ive watched Thomas play, and in Miami they pretty much rotated linemen in and out so he could continue to have that roll with us.

Actually I am going to go with a Nittany Lion here. Derrick Wake is a underachiever that is an AMAZING athlete. He could be a great special teams player for us and maybe more if Coach Williams can get him together. I have never seen anyone like him blocking kicks. I also would lobby for George Gause DE from South Carolina, Jonathan Clinkscale G Wisconsin, Adam Bergan TE Lehigh, Jammal Brimmer Saftey UNLV, Josh Davis WR Marshall, Eric Coleman DT Clemson, and Marcus Lawrence ILB South Carolina. |

Undrafted Rookies
Here is a link to some undrafted rooks who are available:
http://www.profootballweekly.com/PFW...Remainders.htm Wonder how many Undrafted Rooks the Skins will sign. One or two always seem to make the roster or practice squad (Wasn't Pierce and undrafted rook?). |

Re: UFA Wishlist
Tyler King - Athletic defensive lineman with good upside for the next level. Gets leverage on opponents, quick off the snap and displays lower-body strength. Moves well laterally, plays with balance and rarely off his feet. Tough, yet at the same time an intelligent defender who reads the action. Not strong and ridden from his angle of attack by tight ends. Lacks explosion and suddenness.
Lorenzo Alexander - Hard-working interior plugger with marginal size and growth potential. Gets off the snap with a great first step, keeps his pads low to the ground and drives up the field. Displays speed moving laterally with the ability to pursue from the backside. Quick with his hands, fights to get off blocks and wraps up tackling. Doubled by opponents in the middle of the line. Tough, yet intelligent and immediately locates the ball. Lacks bulk on the inside and easily handled at the point by a single blocker. Marginally productive on the college level. Jim Davis - Athletic defensive lineman effective stopping the run or rushing the passer. Explodes off the snap with a quick first step, plays low with leverage and holds his ground against double teams. Fast off the edge when placed at end and fluid making plays up and down the line of scrimmage. Displays footwork moving laterally, immediately alters his angle of attack or redirects to ballcarriers. Gets pushed up the field and exploits immobile blockers. Undersized for tackle and engulfed at the point. Struggles getting off blocks if he does not beat opponents with the first move. Adrian Awasom - Athletic prospect who plays bigger than his listed size. Keeps his pads low to the ground, gets leverage on opponents and immediately alters his angle of attack. Stays with the action, strings plays laterally and tough to knock off his feet. Doubled by opponents yet holds his ground against blocks. Works his hands nicely, chases around the field to get involved in the action and wraps up opposing ball handlers. Plays with a nasty attitude and gets a good amount of momentum going up the field. Not quick or explosive off the snap and lacks speed to the flanks. Lacks bulk and slow getting off blocks. Not as productive as scouts would have hoped and labeled as a bit of an underachiever. George Gause - Athletic line prospect who consistently shows flashes of brilliance. Solid edge rusher with a quick change of direction and ability to alter his angle of attack. Pursues well laterally, displays excellent range, and makes plays in any direction of the field. Fast up the field, rarely off his feet and focused on by opponents. Slow diagnosing the play or locating the ball. Lacks an explosive first step off the snap and overall suddenness to his game. Handled at the point once engaged in a block. |

Re: Undrafted Rookies
Steve Savoy would be a good pickup. He's a local kid too.

Re: Undrafted Rookies
I would be really happy with a Jim Davis pickup. Since we DIDN'T draft a DE, he would be a nice value signing.

Re: (Merged) Undrafted Rookies/UFA Wish List
Tennessee Volunteers offensive tackle Michael Munoz. He was a four year satrter at UT despite numerous injuries. Why not take a flyer?
