Peter King loving the Skins this week

Sun. 4:15 p.m. ET
Preview | Matchup
Washington (9-6) at Philadelphia (6-9)
Joe Gibbs is back in the Big Dance. He's not pleased to be going back to Tampa, site of the Did-Mike-Alstott-Really-Get-In-On-That-Two-Point-Conversion-Run Bowl on Nov. 13, but he'd probably be less pleased if he had to go to the Meadowlands.

Washington 40, Philadelphia 16

40 to 16. Even i think that is really unrealistic. I think it will be a close game, somewhere along the lines of 28-14.

The Eagles defense wont let up 40 points, but we'll still win, in my opinion. Their offense is absimal, absolutley horrid. If they put up anymore than 7 points, i'd consider it an off day, defensivley.

Offensivley, 17 points should win this thing, easily. But I think they are capable of 24ish. My prediction is 20-7 Redskins. That Philly Offense is just so bad.

I thought we might lose due to the defense taking the ball to the house. After talking to some eagle fans it seems clear that they think their defense sucks. I was somewhat surprised. Admitedly i have forgotten about my favorite losing team in the east but i didn't notice that their defense had dropped. The say their defense can tackle for crap and that the only player on that defense that is any good is Trotter. Maybe their defense does suck. I think we can put up a good number of points and i can see the exact opposite.

earlier today after listening to the players and listening to gibbs it seems they are all extremely focused. I think this could be a potential blowout with the skins comming in firing and not letting up.

We have scored 10 TDs in the past two weeks a top defensive unit in dallas. Eagles d is ranked 27th in the league TWENTY SEVENTH!! http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/statis...=2005&season=2

27th overall
20th against the run
21st against the air
They are a top 10 Third down defense but we are a top 3 third down offense.

"One of the more suprising things this season has been the poor play of the defense, secondary especially. They were gouged by the run against the Falcons (w/o Trotter) and the Broncos, but otherwise they have been pretty good against the run. But the secondary has not been good at all this year."

"Another thing is the front four, they are killing the secondary. The front four can not get any pressure on their own, thus hanging the secondary out to dry. The only time that JJ can get pressure is through the blitz, but even the blitzes are getting picked up.

I also think that the secondary, Lito and Lewis in general, have gotten a little high on themselves this year. Lito is constantly baiting the qb in hopes of getting picks but it's back firing on him. Michael Lewis is being made to look silly when he's trying to cover somebody, and he even admits that their head's are too big."

I hope that our offense just keeps doing what we have ben and that is run the ball, run the ball, and run the ball, and when they least expect it run the ball again... If we can do this we will win...

I'd be happy with a 10-3 win and no injuries at this point.

Never underestimate a team with nothing to lose - most dangerous opponent in football.

Game will be close. Tied to turnovers and controlling the line. Skins 23-13.
