Superbowl Memories Anyone? Leave yours

XVII
As much as I love Riggins I dont really remember that superbowl, I was 6. I've seen the highlights a million times and love all of em. I know for a fact that I watched it I just think it was to long ago. PTI just mentioned that this happened 22 years ago today (1.30.5) Happy Anniversary.

XXII
I remember Williams beautiful record breaking second quarter.

XXVII
I remember Rypien terroriizing the Bills. For some reason my friends and I called Jim Kelly a wet chicken during that game. My dad went out and bought a new tv.

Any of you guys have any thought or memories to share on our superbowl victories?
From redskins.com heres the history .

I think you mean Doug Williams' beautiful, record-breaking 2nd quarter (not third)

Was it against us that Thurman Thomas couldn't find his helmet? I think so, right?

Yep! Thurman missed the first drive of the game because he'd lost his helmet. They showed him looking under all the benches on the sideline, frantically trying to find it, during the opening moments of the game. Classic...

Yep! I remember those Super Bowls! I think the anticipation prior to the games is what I remember more than anything else. Sitting there through the pre-game stuff getting all nervous and excited, the chill of hearing the national anthem.....I can't wait until Joe Gibbs gets his 4th!

I don't remember us being favored in the Miami SB.

We had suffered for years before that trip to the SB. The town was still rabid for everything Skins related, however! I first started watching FB in my teens, back in the mid 60's.

My favorite game was in Navy Bootcamp, while sick in the Hospital. George Allen and the Skins put a whuppin on the Vikes! Not a SB, but a great memory! No one else in my Bootcamp company was able to see the game, after all!

Re: Superbowl Memories Anyone? Leave yours

XVII - I was almost 3 months old. This game solidified the name of our dog we would get 6 years later. RIGGO!!!

XVIII - Passed on as legend in our family. My dad throws a huge party, and buys lobster and steak for everyone. He never ate a bite as the game got out of hand. Thus the moral to the story is not to throw a huge party when your team is in the big game. I have seen this theory kick some of my friends asses in the past.

XXII - This is the first SuperBowl I remember. My parents had some big Bronco fans over to watch the game since they were best friends. Anyway the opening coin toss and the Bronco's call it and lose it. John Elway says "SHIT!" I being 5 at the time, damn near pissed myself laughing. Then I remember calling the game over at half time and rubbing it in my parents friends faces. Then I was sent to my room and missed the rest of the game.

XXVII - My Brother stole the Budweiser inflatable blimp from the grocerie store the night before the game and we had it as good luck on top of the TV.

XLI - Probably going to get so drunk either way that I will be come a legend of my own.

I think it was Super Bowl XXII when as the Redskins were embarking on their historic quarter the snow started falling here in Washington.

So not only did the Redskins win, but there was no school the next day!!

Riggins over the left side, of course. Also when it was 10 - 0 in SB 22 and Coach Gibbs encouraged his Offensive team by saying....

I'll congratulate you but don't hump my leg, please. That's one milestone I know I'll never see.

My fondest SB memory was the year they played the Broncos. My relatives were in town from DENVER and staying at our house. They were all in my face at the start of that game but I got to have the last laugh.
