Farce-uleta

sucks at zone, sucks at man. does his best to look like a hard hitter, AFTER the play is made.

i know Williams likes a physical defense, but wouldn't we have been much better off with a coverage guy at safety than a wish-he-could-be-Sean Taylor? even before the loss of Springs and Prioleau.

Arch whiffed a couple of easy tackles today. He's such an arm tackler that it's pathetic. Hopefully he too will step up.

I can't get a read on him. He isn't playing badly IMO. He sure isn't all over the place that's for sure. I think he needs time to get comfortable in this D and Springs back in one on one coverage and then he can create a little more havoc.

Re: Farce-uleta

whattabout that first Texan TD where dude just crossed his zone and he let him through without so much as a chip? whats the point of being a veteran if you have no instincts? then you're just old.

I don't understand why guys just hang there in no man's land. Take the short guy or take the deep guy but take someone. I'm pretty sure he was supposed to cover Johnson on that deep cross. It's a lack of awareness.

I could not agree more, some players play like robots and do not think!
In zone defense after 5-6 seconds the defensive player really needs to pick up a player in their zone area and stick with them.
On a pass play the QB usually throws it in about 4 to 8 seconds after the snap. Why release a receiver in that time span of the play, especially if there is no other defensive player there to pick him up, don't release him at all! F_ING Morons!
Plus if there is no other receiver coming into you zone why release a player to pick up nobody? Some players don't think.

Thumbs down Re: Farce-uleta

He looks lost in the D right now? Is this another example of wasted free agent spending? God I hope not.

With all the free agents. One or two (cough Archuleta cough Carter) are going to be a bust.

Kolston looks to be the real deal. That is great to see out of a late pick.

Are you refering to Kedric Golston?

Re: Farce-uleta

He was absolutely awful. I was talking to my wife about midway through the third quarter and I was like "See Number 40? We spent a ton of money on him and he's awful." Next play he missed a tackle on a Texan running back and the dude ran 15 yards.
The secondary is suspect until Springs comes back.

Re: Farce-uleta

When we signed him, I didn't think it was worth all that money. I'll give him this season to prove me wrong, but I don't like what I've seen so far. He hasn't made any big hits, or any big plays, and he's certainly contributed to letting opposing teams have big plays. I thought he was a good tackler, but he hasn't played like it so far.

I don't think he's comfortable yet in this defense.

Give him some time, I think he's going to pan out just fine.

Anyone else stopped wondering why he was beaten out by a rook for the Ram D?

Re: Farce-uleta

It was a horrible and unecessary signing. I thought so when they did it and I have seen nothing to change my mind. It was the one signing that made no sense at all...completey unnecessary. I guess resigning Ryan Clark did not seem as sexy back when we were throwing money around.
