Keys to the game versus Philly

This game is by far a very winnable situation for the skins, this game honestly will kill me if we lose. Turnovers are a must , someone has to step up and get some picks. Finger pointing wont get us anywhere unfortunately we payed the guys gotta stick with them. (Damn Archuleta). This guys are professional football players plays must happen. Phillys wide outs aren't better then what we face on Sunday. Containing Westbrook and that highpowered offense will be a challenge but making timely plays and making the plays were supposed to make and hopefully scoring more than 22 will lead us to victory. I can see clinton portis having a huge roll in this game. I also think Marcus Washington will also have some huge plays. But this week i really do have a good feeling.

What is the difference in what you're saying/asking than the thread posted by Skinsfan69? It would apear they both would call for basically the same type response. Check out "This week against Philly"

Re: Keys to the game versus Philly

Must get pressure on McNabb and we have to run the ball to set up the play action like last week. Pretty simple...lol

keep away is the key!

face it guys, we can't hold down the eagles offense. if they have the ball enough they will score alot and often, and from every way possible, deep, short, play action, you name it. I know it sounds pessemistic but our D is so vulnerable right now, and our offense is not helping at all. I'm not too convinced by the Dallas game. I think we can squeeze out at least 20 points on O, hopefully that will be enough.

Keys to the game:
  1. run the ball for over 120 yards
  2. get at least 30 carries
  3. over 50% 3rd down conversion
  4. no turnovers in enemy territory
  5. win the TOP battle by at least 10 min!!!

With the exception of our secondary, I think our D has improved and because we have them all back and healthy I think that will help a great deal. Not to mention Santana - if he is back I do think we have a shot, and I don't think that is unrealistic.

Re: Keys to the game versus Philly

pressure on mcnabb. it seems like every time he runs, he either pukes or is severely winded. and run the damn ball. try to control the time of possession. if you like the eagles, or not, their offense can make big plays. and if you have been watching, our defense sort of gives up alot of big plays

Re: Keys to the game versus Philly

I can't even blame the secondary. It was almost like freak plays were happening on third down. On ANY down but third, the defense played like it has been the past two years. It was like they laid down on third. Tighten that up and they'll be playing like a top ten defense again.

And for any critics of my boy Rogers, he played a MONEY game. I don't think hardly any passes were even THROWN in his direction.

I was just thinking that...

They are a solid defense other than third down... and then all bets are off. We forced alot of third and longs too, thats a hell of good job...

We just have to step it up on that one illusive down.

TO ran right by him even w/10 yd. cushion. I hope GW has confidence in him to play him tight & hit the wr's off the line.

I hope I'm wrong but this game is not very winable. There are three big advantages Philly has. 1. They have McNabb and we have Brunell. When shit's not going right McNabb has the ablility to take over the game. Be it with his legs or his arm. With Brunell everything has to be perfect for him to just play average. And on the road at Philly shit is not going to be perfect. Trust me. 2. Philly seems to be able to get a better pash rush. Not just by sacks but hurries as well. 3. They are playing at home coming off a bye. Philly 31 Skins 17

It's all about pressure. Hell, if not pressure then put out more DBs.
