Saban headed to Alabama

ESPN.com - NFL - Saban rolls with the Tide, takes Alabama job

So much for his denials that he wasn't leaving Miami.

For the right $ it could be saunders or williams. I cant imagine they are thrilled with how things are going at redskins park.

I don't imagine Miami's thrilled with them right now either.

I guess Vick isn't the only "coach killer" out there.

We get to play the Dolphins next year.

Can't say I mind facing a first year coach instead of Saban in his 3rd.

Re: Saban headed to Alabama

Once the talk started, I was pretty sure he was going back. I am betting he never really had any deep desire to leave the college ranks but just got an offer he couldn't refuse.

Peter King was convinced that this guy was the next "great thing in coaching" - wonder what his take is now?

If I was a Tide fan I think I'd be sort of pissed that they just spent all that money to rent him for a few seasons. He might be capable of another quick turnaround, but he'll probably be gone by '09 when a bigger, better deal comes along.

It would be 2012 if history serves as any indicator.
5 years with the Spartans, 5 years with the LSU Tigers. Just because he only spent 2 years in Miami (a team in turnmoil every year) doesn't mean he'll do it in College, when he has never spent less than 5 years at any college team.

He's kind of like one of those whores you'd find an any LSU or Bama parties, except they don't cost you millions.

You just don't go to the right parties. I'd own the Skins now if not for those damn LSU babes.
