Rumor: Brunell heading to Seattle

I can't put a link here because I'm still watching Channel 9, but they just reported that Brunell will be headed to Seattle for an undisclosed draft pick to be the backup for Hasslebeck. Once I find a link I will put it up. They said Seneca Wallace will be moving to tight end. I think this is true because the Channel 9 guy said he talked with Brunell about it off camera and Brunell knows already. They also said Collins had already taken the #2 spot from him.

Sorry, my bad, just that there always seems to be a thread about Brunell going here or getting traded to go there. I think you know what I mean. Also, I should have known better you are not one to make stuff up just for the sake of conversation...

Sorry...

I've seen my share of hopefull Brunell trade threads too, and I wouldn't have started this thread if I wasn't certain that this trade is absolutely about to happen.

If Hasslebeck goes down I hope Brunell does good in Seattle. He was never popular here except during 2005, and he always tried his best here.

Oh yeah!!! getting at least something for Brunell is going to be great for the Skins.

I'd much rather have Collins as number 2 than Brunell

This also sets up Palmer to stay on the active roster as the number 3. Things are looking up in the QB dept.

Yeah it's coming from a source inside the Redskins. They said the deal isn't finalized yet but it will be soon. The fact that Brunell knows about it and approved of it should tell you this is more than a rumor.

God help us if we have to rely on Palmer

Most teams would be F'd if they get down to their #3 QB

Yeah, but we'll be f'd if we have to rely on our #2!

If this trade is true, we are in serious trouble if Campbell goes down. Brunell is a great backup, Collins is not. (nor Palmer)

Wow. But if Brunnell was #3, we were paying too much. Plus get something for him now--I'm pretty surprised we're getting anything. Wonder what the cap stuff looks like?

I'll believe it when I hear it from Joe Gibbs himself. But not a moment before then.

I take it that you are not watching the news.

Well, I'm watching the Redskins Post game show on Comcast and they haven't mentioned a thing about it.

ESPN has nothing on it either. Usually Clayton or Mortensen are all over this type of thing the moment it happens.

Did Gibbs say something tonight on the news?

It was a WUSA channel 9 exclusive. A "Inside Source" disclosed the information to the "On the Field Reporters" one of which was none other than Brian Mitchell. When stuff like this leaks out it is usually true. Brunell was questioned about it during the game and answered the question without answering the question.
