Best post-Super Bowl quote?

I thought this was hilarious:

Amazing, for more than one reason.

"Unbelievable," Giants receiver Amani Toomer said. "In Friday's practice, he was dropping everything."

There was also one about Plaxico "bursting into tears", but it wasn't really a quote by a player.

My favorite was the Michael Strahan quote (in which he quoted someone else): "Everybody has a plan, until you punch them in the face!"

That was from Mike Tyson.

Re: Best post-Super Bowl quote?

I heard this one on the radio this morning. Media put their spin on it and made it sound like he was saying this arrogantly like he "saved" the Patriots from their perfect season.

"We did save them their perfect season." -Pierce

Opinion by Greg Hansen : To Bruschi, loss makes season moot | www.azstarnet.com ®

here the whole quote in context:

I think the '72 Dolphins can come and join us a little bit in our celebration that we are going to have Tuesday," said Pierce. "We did save them their perfect season."

I saw a sign that said 19 & NO.... that was funny.

Also Osi saying... 18-1, they should trademark that!!! On NFL Network.

Or Mooch picking his Superbowl predictions for next year... The Colts against the Giants again... unless the Washington Redskins (as he had a huge smile on his face and Deion says with their new, young coach.... LOL. Makes it look like Mooch wants to be here.

During the Profootballtalk.com live chat, someone said the Patriots record was "18 and 'Oh Crap!'" I thought that was hilarious!

Funny that so many people want to rag on the Patriots now that they lost the SB. Those same people were licking their jock during the two weeks leading up the game. "Best ever!!", "Greatest team in NFL history", "Belichick is god", now that they've lost the big one, all those acolades have dissapeared. I guess they're only as good as their last game.

Re: Best post-Super Bowl quote?

During my lunch break I heard some sports broadcasters calling his catch the "imperfection reception".

I had to laugh.

Re: Best post-Super Bowl quote?

It is unbelieveable longtime. One play takes away from them being the best all-time? Because as a realist I can admit that all it would have taken was one more play to go their way instead of ours and I wouldn't be in the great mood I am in.

Re: Best post-Super Bowl quote?

Not to gloat , but many of us in here said NY had a good shot at a victory . Not sure , but I think most of us said this NE team would not win vs , 91 Skins , 85 bears , 70' Steelers-Dolphins-Raiders . After last night , the 82 Skins would have won ,, the 87 Skins ,,, Mann & Manley would have had NE's tackles for lunch . The best part , OL Bill the great coach probably would have won last night if he had not pulled a M. Martz and run the ball .
