Does this mean we hit WR in either of the first two rounds?

Re: Rams Sign Reche

Can't say I really care too much, but it definitely highlights the need to acquire one (or two) in the draft.

Reche was never going to make big plays for us, but at least he was a warm body capable of moving the chains once in a while. Right now we only have two guys capable of making plays (Moss & ARE) and MAYBE one warm body who can move the chains (Thrash).

Aside from that, it's a Plaxico Burress pipe dream (Mix) and a bunch of bums.

Good luck Reche. They released Isaac Bruce and Caldwell knows Saunders stuff, so he'll probably be a decent contributor out there. Always had a soft spot for him since he's a Gator. Maybe a 6-6 James Hardy in the second round?

He will by no means be there when we pick in the 2nd.

Hardy is a problem child, so I expect the front office to stay away from him. Plus if the front office sticks to their guns and stay true to their belief that there are no recievers worthy of a 1st round grade then chances are that right now our 1st round pick will be Albert, Phillips, Talib, Balmber, or Merling.

What would make u say that Hardy is a problem child? I looked it up. He has one incident in his collegiate career in which he apologized, paid he dues, received counseling, and has been a model citizen since.

Scoutssay that he had off field issues all the time, but one should look into such things before one regurgitates rhetoric and then labels another person.

Hardy beat me up last month for letting an old lady cut in line at the movie theater. To which he said "Is James Hardy gonna have to choke a bitch?". I don't remember what happened after that because the guy knocked me out cold. If that isn't an off field problem then I don't know what is.

James Hardy released from jail after alleged domestic incident

However, back to reality. Hardy was charged of domestic assault against his girlfriend. Ironically this was the first time I looked into what happened to Hardy, and quite frankly its enough to make me stay away from him. I don't care if he's 6'6. Violence against a women is unacceptable, especially against someone that has trusted you enough to stay by your side for 7 years.

And the thing is, he's not even our best option at Reciever. If we take a Reciever at 21 then we'd be better off with Thomas, Kelly, or Sweed. Hardy, with character issues aside, is the fourth best reciever on our hit list. And thats assuming that the front office doesn't rank your boy Jordy ahead of him.

I don't care so much if a guy has off the field issues. Everyone has problems and sometimes athletes get exposed due to the fact that they're high profile guys. However sometimes the off field issues go beyond the scope of what is acceptable from a decent human being and in my opinion Hardy falls beyond that scope.

Besides, if his lying ability is any indication of how he'll perform as a pro then I don't see how anyone could stand to draft him. If anything the following examples indicate a lack of awareness.

"According to the police report, Hardy then told the officers that Nolan had gotten "into his face" and that he "pushed her away with his hand into her neck and that is where the red mark came from." He also admitted that he attempted to disconnect the phone, on speaker phone mode at the time, but that he didn't know who Nolan was trying to call, the report said."

"At the scene police also saw a telephone broken into four pieces with the cord unplugged from its outlet, the report said. Hardy said that his infant son had probably broken the phone when he was playing with it."

I don't remember them saying there was no WR worthy of a first round pick

I think Cerratto had been quoted a while back that they didn't have any WR's graded as "first round" talent.

Now we have 3 short, 3 tall, and 1 in between. I love balance.
