London Fletcher vents

ProFootballTalk.com - LONDON FLETCHER WONDERS WHY HE’S NOT A PRO BOWLER

I love how he gets in a jab at the Cowboys.

Its a debacle that he has never been to the Pro Bowl....never missed a game in 11 years, WOW.

Yeah it's a shame. He's had a rock solid career. Hard to believe he's been overlooked for this long. He's the glue of our defense without a doubt.

He absolutely deserved it. I hope he knows that the Skins fans (probably StLouis too) supported him.

Re: London Fletcher vents

Do the voters vote all LB's or do they segment MLB, OLB? Beason and Willis were picked over Fletcher as MLB. They are having great seasons. It would be hard to leave Beason off w/ the season he's having. Willis is having a good one too. Since he and Willis are about identical it would have been nice to see LF get the nod over PW. But, based on stats alone you can't say that it is a major injustice.

It's definately a travesty for him not too make it for so many years.

Re: London Fletcher vents

Obviously the coaches and players don't think he is good enough, since the fans had him as a starter. WTF????

Well its tough to judge by the fan votes after the skins had that big drive to vote the skins ticket.

Thats my point. With the ballot stuffing its obvious that the "fan" portion was locked up for London its obvious that the players and coaches are the ones that snubbed him.

Re: London Fletcher vents

I don't know...I like Fletcher and all but maybe the players and coaches watched tape of the skins defense getting pushed down the field in the 4th qtr the past month with fading playoff hopes on the line.

Good call, base his worth on two drives.

Hope he takes it out on the Eagles. If nothing else we could just kick the crap out of a division opponent at home this year I wouldn't mind if we lost to SF.

It was 3 drives, and I am not basing his worth on those drives I am just saying that I am not going to stomp my feet on the floor over any Redskins missing the pro bowl. If I had to pick one Redskin to go it would be him but frankly I wouldn't care if none of them made it. The Pro Bowl is an individual award...I want wins.

Re: London Fletcher vents

I love Fletcher. But I heard him on the radio today and he kinda sounded like sour grapes. I know he's very deserving but the Pro Bowl is just a popularity contest. It sounded like he's taking it a little too personal. Maybe I'm wrong...

Re: London Fletcher vents

The NFL loves its silly numbers. They want their OT to be taller than their guards. They want their QB's to be over 6'2" or taller. They want their RB's and WR's to run a 4.4 or faster forty. None of this will determine how good a FOOTBALL player you will make.
So needless to say I think London has been passed up in past years because he is only 510" tall and there are other more prototypical LB's. Just my opinion.
