Sellers Unhappy

http://dcprosportsreport.com/2009/04/redskins-mike-sellers-unhappy-with-contract.html

Quote:
Redskins FB Mike Sellers is unhappy and not participating in voluntary workouts. Seller made the Pro Bowl last year and doesn't feel he is getting paid what he deserves.

When he's able to consistently power it in from inside the 1 yd line and not fumble, then he can bitch about his contract. Until then STFU and play.

I like Big Mike Sellers but damn you made 1 Pro-Bowl in your entire career and now you need more cheese? Well lets see how you do this year and maybe the team then can give you a contract extention. I understand that you are 34yrs old and it will be your last big payday but get to the Pro-Bowl again then they got to pay you. See you in camp Big Mike.

Ya know if we used our collective heads, this year we don't vote any Skins in to teach them a lesson about whinning. However, I think we could all vote in every Dallas player in attempts to screw over their pay roll. lol.

Re: Sellers Unhappy

Well, like the article said - Sellers chose wrong time to be unhappy with his contract.. Otherwise, I understand Sellers' feelings, after all he made the pro bowl and cemented Portis' yardages.. He should be making more money, I guess..

Sign him to a year extension, give him more money and tell Zorn to be creative and use Sellers more often to make the money useful..

I don't like designing an offense around your fullback's salary.

Re: Sellers Unhappy

C'mon really!! Sellers is good but he can't ask for CRAZY money because he is just a FB...we can always find a run blocking FB, plus sellers is in his mid 30's.

its getting harder and harder to find true fullbacks

hybrids are becoming more and more common....most fullbacks in the league are just big running backs and dont have the skillset required to actually be labeled fullback

blocking is key and sellers deserves more credit than he gets

the redskins have bigger, more pressing needs tho and sellers can wait for a new contract.

when is his current contract up?
