It was 94 degrees last night at 10:45 pm. Ridiculous.

Re: it's gettin' hot in herre
100 plus here in MD. Yesterday for the first time my BGE peak rewards program kicked in and they cycled my a/c from 1 to 7, when I came home the main level was 81. IT eventually cooled back down to 75 come bed time.

is this how it was explained to you? ona side note BGE is telling me they need to come in and change my gas meter battery. i call and they say the technician will be in my area for these 2 certain days next month. (its baltimore, not some remote village but i digress). so i say ok, what time slots are available. she says oh no, you pick the day (from the 2 days in the next month) and then he will be there from 8-5. i tell her i cant take off a full day of work to wait on the BGE guy to change a battery. sighhhh

Awww is it too hot? This is typical VA weather. Drink water, eat fruit, and suck it up. When you do eat something with more substance, use a lot of salt. Pound that water.

Basically everything you need to know is in this link. I picked the theromsat it is state of the art and I can even adjusted through the web. Like I said before I have had it two years yesterday was the first time they cycled my AC. This move has saved me at least $300 so far considering the efficentes of the theromsat and the discount to my bill. Get BGE Bill Credits and a New Honeywell Programmable Thermostat from PeakRewards℠

My a/c still runs, it just cycles off for periods of time during the peak time. They only do weekdays, not holidays, from 1 to 7. Again they have only done it once to my house otherwise it has run as normal. It is not for everyone if you are set it at 65 type of person and will die if it ever gets hotter then it is not for you. My house at 78- 80 for a couple hours doesn't bother me. normally I have it at 75 anyway. Sorry to answer your question you can opt out twice a summer. I think and I maybe guessing but since I live in the burbs they rarely go to it but B-more city itself they use it more often; more people bigger impact.

Re: it's gettin' hot in herre
I was down in Arkansas a few weeks ago and it was crazy hot, one day it was 103 and super humid, at night it only cooled down to the mid 80s. Seems that we're getting a nice taste of that type of weather. It sucks, I sure wouldn't want to deal with this all summer like some places do.

Re: it's gettin' hot in herre
Yesterday when I got in my car to go home it read 103 and it felt like 120 in the car. At 6:45 I went to hit a buck of balls (my new taylor made R9 irons came in yesterday) and it was actually not that bad.

Re: it's gettin' hot in herre
When I got in my car yesterday after work at around 5:30 it read 114 and I could barely touch the steering wheel. I know the temperature always reads way higher than it actually is when it just sits in the sun but the thermometer on my car never dipped below 101 while I was driving home.

Re: it's gettin' hot in herre
Well, to me when you have a record breaking snowfall and a record breaking heat wave in one area less than six months apart it makes me think that all this global warming/global climate shift stuff isn't just a bunch of BS.
