Sean Taylor Memorial week 11/27
It's that dreaded time of year again when we have the anniversary of Sean's death. I don't have the right words to say as I haven't found peace with it. I always reflect on his career and what could have been for the team/fans/ and more sadly his family. He was horribly taken and too soon from us all. IDK, what Snyder has planned to honor the Taylors before the game. Every game I go to I take a picture of his name in the ring of honor and hang my head and wish I had the honor of knowing him. Emotions will be running high for the team and those closer to him. There is a lot more important than football but I wish they play well on/around this time of year just to uphold his spirit and never let his memory fade. Its Vikings week home game obviously. I hope the team rallies around the amazing ST and appreciate each other all the more.
Along with taking a picture of his honor ring before every game I play the video b/c I havent found a mp3 of the actual song but its "Every Given Sunday" and I wanted to share the link for all to enjoy. HTTR -21 forever, peace, and love Skins family.

Seriously guys don't start if you think we should be over this. Everybody heals in their own way, so I'm not suprised some people aren't over this. Let them have their space to deal with it.
I've made my peace with his death and his murderers, and it was a tragic accident that never should've happened, but for me the best way to honor him is to remember the impact he made, not just on the field, but in other ways as well. I don't necessarily think we need a Memorial Week in his honor but just let it go man.

If you don't like it, care, or want to be a part of his memory, please leave.
We just remembered JFK's death date and anyone who said "here we go" would be recognized as a jackass. Don't litter in this thread. Anyways, this week is always bittersweet for me...my son was born the same week that Sean was murdered. I found out he died in the hospital from my wife as I came in to visit her and our new son. It was a total shock. Things seemed to look very optimistic for Sean's recovery and all of a sudden, we just lost him. RIP 21. Most of us still miss him and regret the great career and personal life that was stolen from all of us. He had turned everything around both on and off the field and had the whole world in front of him. Thank you for starting this thread, Dread-Skin. It's a significant part of our team history and for us diehard Skins fans, a major event in our lives. I've seen people posting 1991 season videos up this past week...no one complained about leaving that in the past.

RIP #21. I miss the guy, and still think about how sick it would have been to have him and Landry as our safety tandem.
I wonder how his fiancee Jackie and his little girl are doing these days?

I dont think Insane is exercising his right to be ignorant and silence another Skins fan for the memory of ST b/c if he felt that way I know he would have the better judgement to keep it to himself. No harm no foul.

I couldn't have been further from the truth. What dumbass bashes the memory of a beloved skin?- (one who is the ring of honor at that). Culture, pride, and tradition is the Redskin way but I guess a tree is known by its fruit and fools will be fools.

A lot of people have uttered that sentiment before receiving an equally-legitimate beatdown. Just saying.
But, you can be as tough as you want overt he internet I guess.

Re: Sean Taylor Memorial week 11/27
I'm not trying to be Mr. tough guy or anything like that, I have never been that way and never will be, I'm just stating my opinion which is what I THOUGHT a forum was based on. By no means am I trying to upset anyone, I just don't see why we need a thread every year. I could understand every 5 years or something along that line, but at this pace, it's going to go on till the day we die.

In this case I'd say it's a fail. Best to heed Mom's advice sometimes when it comes to not having anything nice to say.

Re: Sean Taylor Memorial week 11/27
Well it's not that, I just don't miss him. I mean it was sad when he died, then yeah a year later, but what is this, we're going to have a memorial week for the rest of our lives? I just don't see the point that's all.
