The LA Vikings?

NFL.com news: Two L.A. groups have contacted Vikings, team official says

If the Viks don't get their NEW stadium approved (doesn't look promising) Could they actually move to Los Angeles? It sounds like a good chance and this isn't the first time the Vikings have been linked to LA. I guess the Vikings could move to the NFC West and the Rams could move North?

I know L.A. has been wanting an NFL team back for awhile.

L.A. doesn't want a team, the league wants L.A. to have a team because it's a big TV market.

They had two teams...did not go to the games, did not support them...lost them. They don't deserve a third chance.

If anyone goes there...it will be the Jags.

I don't believe Minnesota would allow the Vikings to leave. Sure, they're threatening now to get a new stadium like the Twins did...but I don't see it being allowed to happen.

This!
LA will not support a team. The weather is too nice, big beautiful Pacific ocean and great Rocky mountains to play in. I would not spend my Sunday's indoors for 3 to 4 hours watching a football game. That is what DVR's are for.
We must learn from history and not to repeat the same mistakes over and over. The NFL knows this.....it is just strong arm negotiations on the part of the Vikings to get their posh new stadium with all the bells and whistles.
NFL teams hold cities hostage in these negotiations.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. http://www.losangelesfootballstadium.com/app/vault/originals/1328299573.pdf

I would hate to see Minnesota lose their team after 50 years. The ESPN 30 for 30 documentary on the Colts leaving Baltimore hit home on how much an established franchise means to a community. For many Colts fans, it was like a death in the family that is still a painful memory.

That's why I hate the Irsay's and the Colts, they should trade franchise names with the Ravens, the same could be said about the Browns becoming the Ravens, screw Modell too. I'm a diehard Redskins fan but also like tradition.

Doesn't bother you that the Redskins moved here from Boston?

Re: The LA Vikings?

I rather see Jacksonville, Minnesota has a history in the NFL and it would be sad for that city to lose it's team, same goes for Buffalo.

Yes I agree. the Jag fans don't even seem to care about their team.

No they are just too cheap to buy tickets to sit there and boo the players all game long.

Re: The LA Vikings?

LA is not a football town. They got too much better shit to care about, like the Lakers, than some lame-0 team like Buffalo or Jacksonville.
