Willie Parker Trashes Redskins Lockeroom

Willie Parker is either slighted by the skins who cut him or has some truth in what he is saying.
"Being in Washington, they don’t care about football. I didn’t feel good from day one there. They weren’t about football. They were about partying"

Willie Parker on the Redskins: “They don’t care about football” | ProFootballTalk

I know Shanahan is on a quest to change the culture in Ashburn, but will he be successful? If you live in the DC area you know about the great club scene and nightlife where often times you will see a local athlete.
What does the Warpath think? Are our players all about life after the field and not about what happens on it? Please discuss.

I think there is some truth to this and that is why I am reluctant for us to resign a guy like Moss because he represent the old culture.

Yeah I saw this. Seems a little like sour grapes to me. Shanahan is attempting to change a culture, and I think in large part the guys are buying in. Sure Brandon Banks got stabbed in a nightclub at 2am, but apart from that, it's not like we have players getting in trouble by any means.

I'd like to know who he's referring to, and I'd also like to hear some of our current players react to these comments.

Pretty sure Fletch would have something to say about this. I mean, didn't we just have 30 or so players assemble for their own mini-camp on their own dime just for the sake of improving as a team? Doesn't sound like a group of guys who don't care about football.

Well sure, but Shanahan had no tolerance for his BS, and he wasn't part of the new regime. MS and BA had nothing to do with bringing that load of crap to town.

What does that have to do with caring about football or partying?

And hopefully MS and BA will take a page from the Steelers and ship AH out of town the way the Steelers got rid of Santonio Holmes.

Doesn't matter, he's still on the roster.
And he's arguably the biggest problem child the Skins ever had.

Maybe it's true

but with so many reports of the party scene.. LL, BB, CP, FD, etc.. I wouldnt be surprised

ESPECIALLY compared to Pittsburgh...

Unless I am missing out but DC nightlife on the weekends is dead, the city is a ghost town especially in the summer time!
