Yet Another QB Rumors Thread (Volume 9)

We have a lot of different threads going on about our QB situation so I thought let's just start fresh.

Went ahead and locked a bunch of other QB threads just so we have a fresh place to discuss the latest QB rumors (until this thread gets too unwieldy as well)

Redskins Reportedly Hold Informal Talks With the Rams About 2nd Overall Pick - Hogs Haven

You've all seen this already. Here are a few more notes

-Dolphins and Rams and Dolphins and Browns reportedly spoke last night as well

-Seahawks are very interested in a certain QB at #12....Osweiller

-Redskins are not expected to attend David Garrard's workout for NFL teams on April 1

-More potentially major news coming soon...time to put those Orakpo jerseys back in the closet?

That is good news about Garrard. Good news with the Seahawks and Osweiler.

Can you speak more on the major news? Orakpo? Thats gotta have to do with the Rams...or Indy possibly? Any clues?

Let me try to get some more info first. It's kind of crazy right now. Couple of other "controversial" players being mentioned as well.

If that means Davis or Williams plus Orakpo and the 6th pick. Im not sure if we should have any added picks as well.

Spot on, I hope its Davis and not Williams. Orakpo, Davis and # 6 is enough IMO, we are talking 4 spots here.

I wouldn't add picks but thats what it will take. I'm presuming it's the jump to get to #2 and trade with the Rams. In order to have a better offer then the Browns we'll probably need to trade our first with them, possibly a 2nd this yr, a 1st next year and either a player or another pick next year. Putting Orakpo in the mix sweetens the pot cause I'm sure GW would love to have him in his 4-3 for which Orakpo was brought here for and he fits that system better then our 3-4 anyway. Not that he was bad our system.

The 3 QB scenarios I'd be happy with/upset if they did not happen.

1. Trade up and draft RGIII
2. Stay at #6 and draft Tannehill, it is a reach but sometimes you just have to say eff it we're pulling the trigger. We need a qb.
3. Trade back late into the 1st round and draft Kirk Cousins (or if they think he'll be available at #39 pick him there.)

I really wouldnt be opposed to letting Rob Jackson get a serious shot at starter, he has played well when giving the opportunity. Let him and Markus White fight it out for Starter and Back up. We saw what happened when Perry Riley got an opportunity.

THANK YOU! Jackson is a PERFECT fit for OLB in a 3-4. IMO he can rush the passer every bit as good as Orakpo, if not better. White has the explosiveness to play that position. If we can move Orakpo to get into that 2nd position then by all means do it.

According to one of the usual insiders, seems they have a "handshake" deal in place. Another one is wanting to confirm it before he really puts it out there.

I'm looking forward to Volume 48 of QB Rumors (Draft Day) thread.

But for now this'll do. Nice crunchy nugget there at the bottom SS, hopefully it's something that'll work out in our favor. Handshake deals are a far cry from faxing the paperwork to the league office though.
