Linebacker Review

Since we're discussing the pros and cons of keeping Barrow in another thread, I thought we'd take a look at the bigger linebacker picture.

I think LB is arguably (or maybe not even arguably) our deepest position. We seem to have a lot of young talent there. But from the following players that are currently on the roster, who do you guys see making it through to the final roster? How many LBs do we keep?

Khary Campbell
Brandon Barnes
Mike Barrow
LaVar Arrington
Chris Clemons
Marcus Washington
Joe Tuipala
Devin Lemons
Maurice Jones
Antonio Pierce
Lemar Marshall
Clifton Smith

I like Campbell and hope he gets some more playing time

Re: Linebacker Review

I bet Marshall will be gone too. If we keep Clemons it won't matter if we keep him anyway.

Re: Linebacker Review

Marshall brings more to the table than you might think.

Re: Linebacker Review

I think Lemar Marshall played better than Clemons. I think Clemons did a better job when he was playing pass-rushing DE than LB.

Re: Linebacker Review

damn thats a lot of line backers. Some willd definitly be gone. How sweet are our olbs going to be with washington and arrington though. And with pierce, and or barrow in the middle we should be set.

Re: Linebacker Review

Campbell and Clemons could bring a whole lot to the table. I like their speed and playstyle. Here are two guys I hope we can resign (Clemons) and rotate in on at least special teams.

Re: Linebacker Review

Lamar Arrington is more than just a linebacker, he transcends the sport

I didn't bring him up because it goes without saying he's our star player

Yeah! He's a real combination player! A combination of Lemar Marshall and LaVarr Arrington! You'd almost think he could be in two places on the field at the same time! I understand you never know what you are going to get when you ask him a question, though! Doesn't he take a Bi-Polar Disorder prescription?

Re: Linebacker Review

Danny boy conducted a freak experiment where he cut off the head of Marshall and placed it on Arrington's body, the result is the manbeast called Lemar Arrington!

Next up: Mark Ramsey

Here's when you will know that Danny Boy's experimentation has run amok:
