Interesting take on the CBA. From the article:

Remember, when you read the usual criticisms: It's not the players who have been grumbling for the past two years about the CBA; it's the agents. They miss the days when early first-round picks could move the market at premium positions, and while the salary cap stayed flat in the first couple of years of the deal, they wondered when the promised benefit would be realized on the veterans' end.

That time has come. Once the clock hits 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, all the complaints you've been hearing about the lousy deal the players made in 2011 are going to start sounding awfully silly. The end result is that everybody -- owners and players alike -- is making out on this new CBA. This spring, it's going to be the players' turn to look like the winners.

Hard to tell. He's almost 32 and had a down year but he really could fit into anyone's defense as Dallas has experimented with every scheme known to man trying to find one that works.

I'd take him here if he doesn't break the bank. He's tortured us enough and it would be nice to see him on our side for once.

Paying a serious premium to replace/upgrade DJax with a 32 year old LB - a premier player, but still a 32 year old player. Looks to me like, essentially, a two year deal.

He'd be a decent signing but not a huge upgrade over Montgomery or Lichtensteiger at C.


The Ravens and Bucs are targeting Alex Mack and we're not spending that much for a Center anyway.

Browns gave him the tranny tag but they can match any offer from any team.

NFLN reports that DeMarcus Ware has been cut.

Expected. He gave them a 4PM ultimatum and they simply can't find the money.

It's the end of an era that saw Ware make seven Pro Bowl teams and be named an All-Pro four times. The Cowboys really had no other choice. Ware was unwilling to take a pay cut, and Dallas had less than $1 million in cap space. Ware, 32 in July, battled injuries in 2013 but still should attract plenty of suitors on the open market. The move clears a shade over $7.4 million in cap space, while the Cowboys will eat over $8.5 million in "dead money." Ware has 117 career sacks
