Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
Alright, let's get this game thread started!
A win by the Skins will be HUGE in my opinion. It will make a big statement in many different ways. I'm cautiously optimistic that we will pull out the win.

Re: Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
I'm scared given our recent history on primetime, but this season has a different vibe to it. Cautiously optimistic is how I'm feeling. Just so I don't jinx us, I think the Giants will win 42-14, and Cousins will unravel after they shut down our running game.

Changes in latitudes, changes in attitudes. Your 2015 Redskins are not your 2014 Redskins. They are much better and what a better time to change this losing during primetime games than tonite. HTTR!!

Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
Quote:
Just posted this in another thread, but I think it bears repeating. Our recent history on primetime is actually pretty dang good. Under Gruden we have played 4 primetime games. We got our butts kicked by the Gints early last year, but than we beat the Eagles, beat the Cowboys, and played a pretty good game against the NFC Champion Seahawks. As we all seem to agree this team seems to have not only more talent, but certainly more toughness and fight early on. So lets keep that primetime mojo rolling tonight and kick the living shit out of the God damned Giants and their putrid secondary! 38-20 Skins! HTTR! Edit : Calia is 100% rite - dont be fooled by the Giants run D ranking. They have faced absolutely nothing on the ground so far. As for our Run O ranking we have faced two very good front 7's and absolutely chewed them up and spit them out. |

Re: Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
I will say this: whichever team loses, the fan base will be pretty despondent.
For the Giants, it means 0-3, endless talk about whether Coughlin has lost it, whether they spent too much on Eli, whether Reese has lost his marbles in picking players, etc. For the Redskins, I worry that folks will overreact that it is evidence that we're still a terrible team, joke of a franchise, meddling owner, QB hell, etc. To be clear, I think this is just 1 game out of 16, and we need to keep that perspective. But to read articles about this game or listen to the radio, you'd think that this game is the defining moment for both franchises for years to come. HTTR, baby! Let's break out of the prime time funk.

Re: Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
Yup. So ready right now. I'm going out of town this weekend for a family wedding, got a ton of shit to do tonight (on top of the Skins game) so I can leave tomorrow. At least I won't have to figure out a way to watch the Skins game while I'm out of town though. All I have to do right now is sit here and wait until 5 pm though.

Re: Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
This is just like Week 3 2007... Back then we let them off the mat and they went on to win the Super Bowl.
Let's finish the job this time boys. ![]() |
