Brown Frown Pregame Thread

So I fully expect us to come out motivated, confident and dominant this game.

So a quarter through the season and we should make it to 2-2...but Im gonna be looking at guys to see who is performing and who isn't. Couple players Ive notice who have been quiet to start the season.

Garcon, Foster, P Smith and Kerrigan....Season started guys...you can make an impact any time now...

Let's just hope it's not the opposite of playing down to the opposition.

The Browns have been tough, should have beaten the Ravens and Miami, they should not be underestimated.

Right. We SHOULD win but the Browns are a lot better than people give them credit for. Was reading an article this morning saying Danny Shelton is the top interior run stuffer in the league right now. Two of their RBs averaging 6+ YPC I think.

If Im Barry, Im aggressively putting folks up in the box to stop the run game and rush a rookie QB. I think you really need to be aggressive and we have had an ability to create turnovers...being aggressive should keep that rolling.

With our so-so defense, it is hard to be aggressive when you are only up by a few points. That being said, I don't think we are facing Antonio/Dez/Crybaby OBJ talent, so we should be able to put pressure without worrying about an elite WR burning us. I know T. Pryor has played well, but he's not like any of the three wideouts we've faced in the first three games.

Barry been going with bend don't break, 2 deep stuff to keep those elite wr in check limiting big plays, but right with the brown turds coming to town, we should be more aggressive in the box imo

This is a game we should def win. A Brown loss at home is completely unacceptable....this is certainly a "season over" loss

No way the season is over with a loss to the Browns.

Also, if Barry's Defense shits the bed against rookie Kessler and this browns offense I want his bitch ass fired immediately...

Jesus Christ all season long people have been fretting over this game. Don't quite understand why. The Browns are a scrappy team, they're not going to roll over. But this is definitely one we should win especially at home. Need to get to 2-2 and keep the momentum going.

Re: Brown Frown Pregame Thread

Again, another game where early scoring can dictate how the game goes. The Browns are a good running team, but their passing game is in disarray at the moment.

If Kirk and the Offense don't score early and/or waste turnover/good field position opportunity, then the Browns can keep using their running game and their defense to either keep the game within reach or take/keep the lead.

Now if the offense is able to get an early sizeable lead, then the Browns will need to abandon the run and depend on their passing game.

Again, I don't understand why people are so dependent on our weakest unit or has expectation of having a shutdown defense. Our best unit in terms of talent is the offense. When the offense doesn't score in obvious opportunities or after takeaways, the defense can't hold it until the offense gets its shit together when it doesn't matter.

We have an offense that has no trouble moving the ball and getting to red zone. Now we need them to score during those red zone trips and be able to take advantage of the many turnover opportunities created by the defense. If this had happened in the first two games, we could be looking at a decent game against the Steelers and a win vs. the Cowpukes.

I think we got there last week and I hope the offense continues to play to their potential this week.

No RG III, but Washington Redskins must contend with Terrelle Pryor - Washington Redskins Blog- ESPN
