Conference Championship Weekend Thread

Report: Owners hope Spanos takes Chargers back to San Diego

Hilarious, even the owners think Spanos is stupid af to move the Chargers to LA. Nice.

To stay semi-on topic, who ya got this weekend? I like GB and ATL so idc who wins, but I think GB will take it due to more experience in games like these. I don't care for the been-there/done that AFC matchup, but I think NE will win.

Hopefully the NFC winner wins the whole shebang, Brady and Roethlisberger have enough rings.

Re: Conference Championship Weekend Thread

Probably GB, but I am rooting for ATL just to have someone different in the SB for a change. I don't care about the AFC game, but I think it will be the Steelers. As for the San Diego relocation? If the owners thought it was stupid, why did they authorize it? They are just trying to save face with the fans. If more folks woke up that the NFL is all about money they would jump off the bandwagon. I mean seriously, their product has been going down hill for the better part of a decade. Only about half a dozen teams are really any good, with the rest either mediocre or downright awful. The refs(meaning the league) have actually taken over the games with flagging everything possible, especially if it helps the league get the outcome it wants.

Agreed. Eff BB and his red hat, and the rapist playing quarterback for Pittsburgh too. Go Pack.

I'm especially looking forward to the Falcons vs. Packers game. It has the potential to be one of the more exciting playoff games in a long time. I'd say Okie has the total points scored in the right ballpark. But it's NFL football, so you never know.

Redskins related: For those who think we can get anywhere with a journeyman QB, check out the four QB's in the championship games. Brady, Rothlisberger, Rodgers, and Ryan - all great QB's with, at least, two HOF'ers on the field.

Your last point is the biggest reason we need to resign him. I can't understand why Dan/Bruce wouldn't want to, are they waiting for the next Brady/Rodgers?

San Diego fans would probably like to take Dean Spanos to Sausalito, if you know what I mean.

I wish the NFL would get over the idea of welfare for NFL owners. Look Dean, if you can't afford to build your own stadium, then you can't run with the big dogs. So sell your team and get back on the porch where you belong.

Re: Conference Championship Weekend Thread

Every afc championship game has 2 of the 3 of the Broncos, Steelers, or Patriots. So boring. Every 5 years or so the Ravens sneak in there. So the Steelers get a chance for their 7th or Patriots for their 5th title. Those fan bases are spoiled rotten.

Rodgers always looks like a big fat cry baby when things aren't going his way.
