Nice camp report
There's a nice camp report up at hailredskins.
Check it out: hR Training Camp Diary – Report 6 Good news about Ramsey--hope he keeps it up. Also interesting stuff about Clifton Smith at MLB.

Re: Nice camp report
This part was just hilarious......
![]() The very last Thumbs Down goes to Joe Gibbs – not for his coaching, but for his play at middle linebacker. Gibbs simulated a blitz several times against Patrick Ramsey during drills, and I have to say, I’m not sure the old man is gonna make the cut. He looked downright slow, and with his small stature, it won’t be easy to get off any blocks put on his. Gibbs faces an uphill battle against Lemar Marshall, Clifton Smith, and even Robert McCune, who are all competing for the starting MLB spot. When camp is over, Gibbs may have to resign himself to the fact that he belongs on the sideline, not on the field.

The eternal infamy of receiving one of the final Thumbs Down of camp will first go to the entire offensive line, which did little in the way of run blocking. Most running plays gained between zero and three yards, with the notable exception being any toss play, which gained far less. On a happier note, the O-line formed good pockets for whichever QB was behind center, and generally gave him plenty of time to scan the field. With Gibbs, however, it all starts with the run. The line absolutely must improve its ability to dominate the line of scrimmage. I am scared i hope they do well, if they don't do good then that is it. All i care about in tommorrows practice is the 6 in the middle on offense. Ramsey and his line. if they don't do well i will most definatly not have a good night. They are playing a good D so we will see how it goes |
