Gibbs Fined

just seen on NFL live Gibbs has been fined $10,000 for criticizing the officiating on OCT. 9th. unreal get fined for making a valid point and that point is the REFS SUCK !!

Maybe they should start fining these horrible refs. Thats uncalled for, why do you fine someone for that? I seriously hate how the NFL is run. 10 G's? R. Barber got only 30 for f&*king punching a referee, and you get fined 10 grand for critisizing refs? Unfreakingbeleivable.

I can't believe that, thats ridiculous....it's not he's the only one that complains....at least he complains when he needs to.

If they are going to fine him for saying "they made questionable calls" then he might aswell get his money's worth and blast them next time.

This is disgraceful! What he actually said was far milder than what could have been said.

The refs get worse each year and this year has been particularly bad.

Stop hiring part-time guys who are too old to keep up with the plays. Hire full-time, professional refs and a lot of the bad calls would stop.

The NFL's fining of Gibbs is a joke and only penalizes someone who dares to speak the truth. I'm tired of refs making clearly rotten calls and no one is allowed to question them. If Gibbs, one of the most respected coaches ever to be a part of the game, feels the need to speak out, then things must be very bad. Usually, Gibbs is the last one to do so.

I am so angry at this, especially given what some players have been fined who have actually physically accosted the refs.

if he got fined that much, Jim Haslett better get about 15-20,000 for calling the officiating at the end of the ATL/NO game "Chicken Sh!t"

And considering he said it twice....and he practically insulted the officiating crew so he SHOULD get fined....the only thing that's chicken sh!t is the fine against Gibbs!

he even started to mention the particular zebra that made the call by name but couldn't seem to remember the guys last name, lol.

and I agree w/u GoSkins, he probably was fine until it sounded like he was insinuating that the men in stripes were in someone's pocket or something.

not a surprise, coaches aren't suppossed to say that kind of stuff at all. Haslett will be fined but he did call the refs chicken shit. The thing is with so many people betting and believing that the games are "rigged" this kind of media attention on "mystery calls" doesn't look good.

I don't agree with it AT ALL but i am not surprised it happened

I think that he was okay on everything except when he said "If you look at some of these calls there's something funny going on".

i've really tried not to think about the officals but after that call in the denver game where the booth called brunell for being over the line of scrimage and yet none on the field did.i have a hard time not thinking that there's something funny going on.i have friend who is convinced that there is and that it's because of snyder. i don't want ot but these calls just keep coming.like someone said when holmes caught that screen holdman was right there but was held just long enough for priest to get by the he was released. the ref, was right there and didn't through the flag.maybe i nedd to check other games and see of this is a league wide prob or if it is a skins thing.

I started a thread about that very thing a year ago after the Dallas game on monday night, lets face it the league is run by the owners, and most if not all the owners hate Snyder, there is no way anyone is going to convince me that the ref's haven't been given a wink, wink, nod, nod, to make sure anything questionable goes against us. Over the coarse of the last 2 years I have seen not bad calls, but suspicious calls, where a ref will make a call from 30 feet away, that is almost none existant against us, and then watch from 10' away as Rod Gardners jersey is ripped off in the end zone on pass inter. which is not called, as Gibbs stated things are a little funny, yea just a little, it's also kind of funny how the NFL wont allow you to critisize the refs even when you have sufficient proof, in other words if the ref shows throughout a game that he's capable of making a tough call or none existant call against you, but incapable of making an easy call for you there's a problem, It's as if Vince McMahon is incharge of the referees.

For joe Gibbs to come out with that kind of a statement is huge, it was a kind way of saying, I really believe there's something going on here other than just bad calls, essentially challenging the NFL and their legitamacy, integrity, and honesty, as an organazation.

Did anyone find it suspicious on KC's first TD drive that we couldn't get a replay of the fumble by the sidelines which all the skins were jumping up and down that we got the ball? Kind of ironic that they wont show a replay of something like that, kind of tells me that the NFL really didn't want anyone to see it, I wonder why?

i just actually watched the replay and if someone else recorded it you can see inbetween renaldo's legs that the priest hits the ground the ball pops up, he was down but then daniels hits him as daniels is falling and turns Priest's body and the ball come up from under him and it it gets its way into griffins hands, i still haven't seen another angle but i think the right call was made. I just don't feel that it is possible that we are disliked that much by the league that the refs would be skrewing up our games

if it is a conspiracy does anyone think now that gibbs is calling out the refs there will be an improvement??
