Theismann Finaly Watches Play That Ended His Career
In the Va Post today they said that Theismann finally sat down with a reporter and watched the play that ended his career. It took twenty years for him to finally watch the paly and he said its was not as gruesome as he had heard. He thought that is leg would ache when watching the play but instead it turned his stomach a little. He also said that they reset his leg on the field before carting him off and that his leg had gone numb. It sounded like he was tired of hearing the question of when he was going to watch the clip so he just decided to do so. He watched the clip at the viewing room at Redskins park where he works out on a regular basis.

Interesting that he managed to avoid it all these years.
I wonder how he avoided it, if it came on TV did he switch the channel or look away? |

yea, i read the same article that FIRSTDOWN speAks of. the article makes it sound as though he had seen pictures and maybe a few tidbits of the tape but that he had never watched the whole tape from begining to end until now.

Jay Schroder...that was about the time I understood what was going on (being 6 years old, anything before that is a haze)...and I got me a Schroder jersey. Just too bad I didn't ask for a Doug Williams jersey instead.
