I haven't heard that he slacks off in any way

Re: Mike Shanahan was Ready to Leave Washington after 2012 Season
What if it's Snyder's people putting out all these rumors, including the one about Shanny cleaning out his office?

What would the logic be behind Snyder doing it? |

The fact that Shanahan hasn't even tried to deny any rumors, doesn't make him look real innocent.

Re: Mike Shanahan was Ready to Leave Washington after 2012 Season
It seems to me that every media outlet is trying to get in as many stories as they can. It's overkill at this point. IMO RG3 got benched because of poor performance. Many QB's that have accomplished a hell of a lot more than RG3 have been benched... that includes McNabb while he was in Philadelphia, Kurt Warner, Warren Moon was benched even Drew Brees...benched and let go! These are very good to great QB's. It's not that big a deal people. Maybe this will be good for him.

Mike Jones @MikeJonesWaPo 12m Interesting from Sean King: 1st 2 yrs: PManning 50TD/42INT (14-15 record). EManning 30/26 (12-11). Breese 28/31 (10-17). RGIII 36/17 (13-16)
None of those other guys were benched in yr 2. |

From what little I've seen of Shanny talking, and I trust you that Shanny hasn't been blameless in this, him not really addressing that rumor at all seems weird. |

Re: Mike Shanahan was Ready to Leave Washington after 2012 Season
Agreed. Maybe the rumors true, but he didn't leak it? I dunno. I'm just struck by the way we're trashing Shanny for a move most people agree with. And one or two opinion articles have been posted here that Snyder's previous debacles with coaches really weren't primarily his fault. I feel like we're getting carried away with our Shanny hate, and that point, so I'm questioning everything about what's said now.

Re: Mike Shanahan was Ready to Leave Washington after 2012 Season
Well I guess Mike Shanahan and I are the only two people in the world who have gotten upset at a fellow co-worker or boss and thought of leaving our jobs. Especially when it seems like the boss is picking favorites. In my line of work we have a name for it... their called the "Golden Child". They can do no wrong, never mess up, make mistakes and not get punished for them, etc. etc.

None of those other guys were benched in yr 2.[/QUOTE] Cause they played better in their 2nd years. If RG3 was not throwing the ball 10 feet over the wr's heads, only looking at one wr and running into sacks he's be on the field. Even the KC defenders were saying they would just run to the side where he turned his head cause they knew he wouldn't look anywhere else. Everyone that's upset about him sitting down fail to mention any of this stuff. |
