She's tearing it up at the Australian Open, making it to the finals. A lot of people, myself included, thought the best might be behind her (no pun intended) but she's been very impressive.

I'm sure there aren't that many tennis fans here, let alone women's tennis. But impressive is impressive. And her run in this tournament has been impressive.

I'd be more inclined to care if she had showed an ounce of determination the last few years. She basically could have ruled women's tennis thorughout this decade and pissed most of it away for whatever reason.

Personally Martina Hingis is my favorite but you could make the same argument about her too, though much could be attributed to her foot injury.

I met Mauresmo last year at the Pilot Pen open (#1 in the world at the time)... she was pretty cool, so I've been following her lately.
I always kinda liked Hingis too.
Other than that, I'll watch if Sharapova or the other cute Russians are playing

Like Kournikova, I don't think the Williams sisters take the sport seriously enough for me to want to cheer for them.

Oh, if ANYTHING I'm a fan of women's tennis over men's. The men's side doesn't have any Sharapovas or Kournikovas. Sure, they suck, but MAN are they nice to look at (Sharapova is pretty good most of the time though).

I would only watch men's tennis because of the off chance I could see Mandy Moore in the stands.

Somebody once told me that Sharapova actually had an upper body. It's only the stuff of lore to me because I start going up those legs and I get tired so I have to stop.

As for Sharapova I saw her in person last March, stood right next to her....WOW! That's all I can say is WOW

Yeah man. And she seems like a sweetheart too.

Federer IS a total beast on the courts. Most people don't really keep up with it like you said, but man, he's becoming MJ of tennis.

Did you guys see Federer vs Roddick. Man, Federer really impressed me. Roddick kept making great plays and he returned it like it was nothing!

As far as Serena, I've never understood the hotness factor about them. I don't find either of the twins very attractive. A bit too masculine for my likes!

However, when Andy Roddick was on SNL, and Serena and Venus' father came on and had a skit about trying to adopt him, I laughed my ass off.
