Re: Around the NFL Week 5
Great win by Cleveland last night. After everything those fans have been through, they deserve a winner. Sucks that Hoyer got hurt though....
And the brown was so ugly that in kinda looked cool. But I prefer the orange pants with the brown top. |

Re: Around the NFL Week 5
^ Yeah, poor Brian Hoyer. He finally gets his chance and makes good on it...and then gets hurt. That would suck.

Did not hear how bad Hoyer's injury was. Is he expected to be out for any extended time?

Re: Around the NFL Week 5
EJ Manuel's injury looked pretty bad as well , I bet he has a torn MCL or something (of course I'm really DR Andrews in disguise)

What's wrong with Engvall? He is a clean family comedian, doesn't cuss a lot like other comedians.

Also, was last game Barry's first without the cast? Or was it off against Detroit?

Re: Around the NFL Week 5
Because you often "make things up".
The Browns are looking great somehow. Too bad about Hoyer, ACL. Hopefully Campbell will get a shot because we know Weeden is not the answer. McGahee looks good too. The monochrome brown may have worked if the pants had stripes. They looked like brown yoga pants, especially since they wore solid brown socks too. Bad look. The Ravens do this with all black too...makes them look like they're ballet dancers. So both QBs went down with knee injuries last night. Still the fault of the read option? A QB can get hurt regardless of the offense his team is running, so that provides more support that we should NOT abandon the read option and keep doing whatever plays to Griffin's talent...running, when we're sure he's healthy enough to resume it. He didn't get hurt on an option run, it was a scramble just like Hoyer. Even Tom Brady had the same injury and he was standing still like a statue. Running with a QB will not get him injured if he does it intelligently. So far this year, Griffin is doing that. He's getting out of bounds and giving up the run to save his body instead of always trying to run around, up and over or through every defender.

The Redskins DL is going to have to really get after people the rest of the year to be effective. The Redskins cant really stop anyone, but with sacks and turnovers they can turn games around. I think a 4 game sample is enough to realize that they are going to give up yardage by the 10s-20s, but when they can win the turnover battle, they might have a chance of beating people. Now if the offense can just start converting 3rd downs, they will be in business again. |

@AlbertBreer Rob Chudzinski just confirmed to reporters in Cleveland that Brian Hoyer has a torn ACL, and will undergo season-ending surgery.
