Colt is way beyond Beck in terms of reading defenses and getting the ball out. No fair comparing a second stringer to a third stringer.

It's not loyalty, it's just... I dunno. Common sense. If you undertake a new job and you screw it up at first, does that mean you're always going to suck at it?

Maybe part of the reason why we're so awful is the fact we've gone through 7 coaches in the past 14 years?

The only other team in the NFC East that comes close to that is the Cowboys and they've only had 4.

We have absolutely zero consistency when it comes to the coaching staff, and the people we are consistent with (i.e. Haz, Morris) are the ones that don't deserve it.

I'm beginning to wonder if gary84clark is a fan, or just some poor unfortunate fellow that loves to be mad. Might have been a Brown's fan in the brown bag days....Dan Snyder bought the skins, and a while later Gary bought a haynesworth jersey.
He must watch the haters ball sketch on chapelle show on repeat...just chanting "hate hate hate hate"

Re: Skins vs. Colts Gameday Thread

We've had 4 coaches since 2004, so an average of 2.5 yrs per coach. Zorn shoulda been canned after his first year. Shanahan got more time than he should have. Gruden needs to improve a ton these last games to deserve keeping the job. Good HC's are found every season, and even "bad" franchises like the Browns and lions find them.

Speaking of jersey's I'm never buying another one again.

Bought Champ Bailey - Traded
Bought Sean Taylor - Deceased
Gifted RG3 - Most likely trade bait.

I think the reason we're awful is because I keep getting Redskins merch.

Also, Ever game I have watched and Rak plays, he pressures the QB. He might not get a sack but he pressures every play. What number is Murphy again?
So I take it you have that 2009 game against the Raiders on permanent repeat huh?

Gary is mostly spot on on this one. Murphy does have more sacks than Rak had, but the sack totals are misleading in this case. Rak was constantly around the QB(at least when he rushed), he just couldn't ever close the deal this year for some reason. Murphy is a rookie, and it definitely shows. He doesn't bring near the heat Rak did(it's funny how when I type Rak it autocorrects to Rank.)

Kerrigan-Rak>Kerrigan-Murphy, and it's really not close at this point. I think Murphy can eventually be a good all-around rusher, but developing an outside rush will take time. He's not the athlete Kerrigan and especially Rak are, but he seems like a smart and instinctual player. In terms of playing style, the Jared Allen comparison is accurate IMO.

Jared Allen??? Murphy's solid against the run, but he's a terrible pass rusher. I mean he doesn't even sniff the QB at all. I'm getting the feeling that this was not a good draft pick.

Yeah, I'm obviously not talking about talent. Allen isn't a great athlete, but he wins because he's smart, tough, and hustles. That's the type of player Murphy is.

If he goes 3-13 then bye bye.
