Re: Gameball: Skins-Seahawks

Well I never thought i'd say this......Mark Brunell hands down. No one else on the team really stood out or made an impact on the game like he did today. His one INT almost killed us, but he made some big plays.

Another guy I'd like to throw out there is Shawn Springs. He is quietly (Becasue they never throw to hm) having a really good season thusfar. He had a few big pressures and plays, and thought he had a good game.

If Novak knew how to do a kickoff, I might pick him too.

I went with Brunell and Moss.

Brunell made some clutch plays when we really needed them, and Moss just continues to make the critics eat some serious crow.

He's the playmaker we thought Coles was going to be.

Re: Gameball: Skins-Seahawks

Moss has already made a no.1 reciever name for himself in just three games. absolutely incredible.

Thrash was also responsible for a lot of those key 3rd downs, including that one in Dallas.

Re: Gameball: Skins-Seahawks

I went with Brunell and Novak. both really helped today, brunell was efficient, and they played on third down like i've never seen. Novak, hmm, what to say . . . .you da man i guess, he was great, especially not choking on the game winner. At least i can say he's better than 1 NFL kicker when they need to be their best, and that 1 kicker would be, suprise, Josh Brown. He helped us more than we helped ourselves.

Brunell. The 3rd down scramble was HUGE.

Brunell. He continues to improve weekly. Very effecient and his brand of leadership is starting to be contagious for this team.

Re: Gameball: Skins-Seahawks

Last week I gave it to Moss, but this week Brunell gets it. The INT wasn't 100% his fault (it was misthrown, but the tip is what gave it to the Squawcks), and most of the rest of his passes looked nice and crisp. Well done Brunell!

Brunell in a walk. He is doing what Gibbs wants him to do. Run the offense and minimize mistakes. He is making plays with his feet and doing enough in the passing game to keep defenses more honest than a year ago. None of it is looking particularly impressive in a Peyton Manning type of way but he and the defense are the reason we're 3-0.

i said brunell too. i don't think that the INT was totally on him. he and the offense played very well.

We should give it to Holmgren. What a moron. The Hawks last drive before they missed the FG was one of the worst series of plays I've ever seen. Thank god for the dipshit Holmgren.

I would use the term "drive" loosely there - I can't believe he didn't at least take a shot at the endzone.

Re: Gameball: Skins-Seahawks

Some mention should be made of Seattle's defensive breakdowns. I think Brunell converted at least six 3rd and ten+ yards situations. I was actually joking on a 3rd and eight that we needed a false start penalty to get comfortable.

I voted Brunell as the MVP. Breakdowns or not, the third down ratio was crazy.

I went with Brunell. He had plenty of zip on the ball and I can see our offense starting to gell.
