If that's all it is then I'm good.

HTTR!!!
Here’s looking at camp:

Offense:
Not worried about the offense really. I expect the passing game to be the strength of the offense and team and expect them to be a top 15 unit overall.
RBs-My concern level isn't high for the run game because I don't expect much from the run game and I don't think this scheme really require nor facilitates a strong run game. In my view whatever we get form the running game I consider to be gravy. Jones should be better based on more experience, holding on to the ball and better blocking on the edge. If I’m Jones, I would be very nervous about Keith Marshall. ‘When healthy….dude is a stud….but when is he healthy?’

Center-how is with the starting unit, who rotates in (and in what order) and how they look
WRs/TEs-Not gonna be focused on them much because they're already loaded for bear. Will watch for TEs blocking the edge tho.

Doctson. He was my favorite receiver in the draft, interested in how thy use him and he looks against press, coming out of his breaks, gaining separation, confidence etc. I wonder if they’ll start phasing Garcon out if Doc is ready to roll.

Defense:
I’ll be most focused on this side of the ball. I’m concerned with the the front 7: run defense, pass rush and coverage. I think the secondary will be the best unit on defense by a wide margin followed by the starting OLBs/edge rush.
I might be alone in the thought that the DL took a step backwards going from Knighton to Golston and Hatcher to Paea/Reyes. Our interior pass rush was only average last year and Hatcher provided a lot of that rush. Now with the loss of Junior there isn’t anyone to pencil in that is expected to compensate for the loss of rush. DL is going to be key whether or not someone steps up at the NT spot and whether Paea can stay healthy and play like the player we expected when he signed. Baker is solid both in against the run and provides rush, Ricky Jean is a solid run stopper at DE the rest are question marks.
I’m not as high on Compton as most. He filled in decent for a back-up player but that’s exactly how I view a solid back-up. I don’t think he’s stout enough vs the run and imo the run defense was a major issue. Foster can thump and Riley when healthy get’s downhill with aggression.

My sleeper/one to watch in camp is Stehpen Daniels. When looking at Daniels on film he looks like a downhill thumper that relishes contact and isn’t shy about taking on a block. I couldn’t tell the difference between him and Ragland and in fact net-net I thought Daniels was the better player. If there is one player I expect to make a name for themselves in camp/preseason its Daniels.

I was very pumped for Su’a Cravens but hearing talk of him playing WILB dampens my enthusiasm for him. I want them to play him at SS. Let him get comfortable and find a home their and let him wreck havoc.

I expect a huge uptick in performance at FS going from Dash to Hall and I expect David Bruton to be a physical tone setter at SS. Amped up for Josh+Breeland those guys are going to be the strength of the defense. Hopefully we can generate enough pass rush that those guys can make plays.

I’m curious who is gonna man the NB/slot corner spot though.

Nickel Corner maybe the best competition in all of camp...good call.

Im worried about RB, cause we need to run the damn ball right this year. Pierre Thomas needs to be signed

Pass rush is so crucial for this team. My eyes will be squarely on Preston Smith. How does he look against Trent?

He was said to look great in minicamp. If he gives Trent some trouble then I'll let myself start to get excited.

We are not going to be able to run the ball that well. We are weak at center and left guard. Lich pretty much gets thrown around by every nose tackle in the NFL. Not only that but what happens when Jones gets hurt? It's only a matter of time before he does. The strength is the QB, wr's and TE.

The injury to Doc is concerning. He's had 6 weeks to get himself right and still can't practice. This seems like it's going to be an issue all season long.

I'm predicting Houston Bates steps up big this year! He flashed well in pre-season last year.

Athletic, high motor....with a year under his belt, he comes in more prepared and knowing damned well he can do it at the highest level.

I hope your wrong because putting the weight of the offense on cousins vs a tougher schedule could be bad. I think McC wants to run the ball effectively and I think we will based on having better blocking with our TEs. This was a killer last year. Your right, kory was effing terrible last year...left guard run blocking took a hit when Lauvao went down. I think left guard will be better...Kory has a small chance to be decent.

I really think McC wants to run better.

I dont think the run game is going to be as terrible as some are predicting, I think Jones and Marshall will surprise people, in particularly Marshall

Re: Redskins Training Camp '16

DeSean Jackson-Josh Norman a fun matchup in Washington Redskins camp - Washington Redskins Blog- ESPN

Love hearing this:

Bashaud Breeland's development continues to impress, so when he faces Pierre Garcon, it’s a must-watch as well. ▪
I want to explore this more later, but it’s been interesting to watch Breeland’s development. I’ve always thought he was a smart corner and good learner. But watching him Thursday I recalled how he used to hold quite a bit his rookie year, especially in practices. A key was getting him to keep his hands down. Well, Thursday, that’s what he did: When facing Garcon, his hands were low and down around the receiver’s hips: not visible to officials, and it lessens the desire to hold. Smart. Breeland looked really good, and coach Perry Fewell was probably as enthusiastic about him during practice as any player.

Breeland is an unsung corner...had a great year in 15 and has lockdown potential

Re: Redskins Training Camp '16

If Norman and Breeland can play like we expect, that will help every aspect of our defense. If Cravens comes in and can help take away the TE outlets, our Defense could really be top notch.
