Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread

I really really really dont want to play the "Find a QB Game" for a long ass time.
Cousins looks good, good enough anyways, at least better than average and in this league thats good enough.
We need to spend our draft picks on creating a real pass rush and a few other shiney things.
Please Kirky, stay cool and stay the course......

I agree, I cannot go back to the endless search for a Franchise QB. I think Cousins is pretty damn good. Give him above average QB money and improve the defense.

Kirk is a guy that will get better with years also, the older he gets the better he will be.

Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread

The knock some are giving Kirk is the missing long ball throws..but his stats are really good. D jax seems to have some attitude and my guess is they are not throwing the ball deep to him as often as he wants. Is that because of Kirk or the scheme. A lot of deep balls that are completed in this league look like they could be intercepted ..how many times have we been torched and our DB was all over the WR..Norman got called for PI when he got hurt.it looked like solid coverage to me. maybe its time to go deep and take the lid off the D..you have two chances with that ..a complete pass or PI ..well i guess you can have it intercepted ..but unless they slide the DB over and they Double team the WR you should have a shot at a completion/penalty. I just wonder how much freedom cousins has at changing the play to a long pass.

I don't want to derail this thread from Cousins, but it has more to do with not throwing Jackson the deep ball, IMO. They need to find more creative ways (ie, screens, reverses, placing him in the backfield in hopes of getting a poor matchup on a 'backer or safety, or any, other imaginative ways) to get Jackson the ball. He still has the attributes and speed to be a game breaker.

Again, get creative, in regards to Jackson.

Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread

Jackson to me, just seems like a guy who is going to whine no matter who is throwing him the ball. A poor man's T.O., if you will.

But i'm with you - let's not get the thread away from Cousins...

Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread

Since being named starter, Cousins’ yards per attempt is 7.63, which is 7th in the NFL That's .11 behind Drew Brees (7.74), and better then noted gunslingers Jay Cutler (7.62) and Rivers (7.52)."

what i would give to have hoyer at lqb and keenum at rqb. 2 deadly arms on the field at the same time.

defenses wouldn't know what to do.

Look who else is on this list...
I didn't realize how good Kirk is in the RZ. Wow. This alone should put the debate to rest.

You're never going to let me live that down I was only quoting the Rams' official twitter that had Kenny Britt or whoever saying that Keenum was a baller.

And I liked Case Keenum, but he has thrown 7 interceptions in the last 2 games, it might be Goff time even though he is going to suck harder....

Imagine a world where the only discussion are teams' official Twitter accounts, we'd have 2000 All-Pro's on our hands.

Dont feel bad I like Case too{hometown hero},he's an underdog. But yeah his ints are going to get him benched quick.Goff must really suck for him not to be in there. And I think Fisher's words {7-9}will haunt him now just like Mora's playoffs
