I'd rather roll with Winston and a rookie. Hell, signing Winston wouldn't rule out Watson either.

Also, are fans really turning up their noses at some of these FA QBs, when we had Heinecke and his noodle arm?
I'm glad to hear they are interested in Winston. We could certainly do much worse. Like rolling with Heinicke again.

Re: 2022 veteran QB options

How about Mariota and drafting Willis or Coral if Willis is gone.

Winston coming off ACL is concerning. Not sure about Tribuski. Don’t want to give up assets for Jimmy G or Love.

I know one thing. Unless we plan on Heineke and a rookie we better stop taking a long look and do something before all the options are gone.

As far as Twitter..... It can be a good place for realtime news and even interesting dialogue. But far more times than not; it's a cesspool. A place where punks turn into obnoxious bullies. People directly targeting players, coaches, and whatnot. Spewing things they'd likely never say to anyone in person. It's sad. Unfortunately, welcome to today's society.
It wasn't necessarily JP, but Mitch (who I like) said something along the lines of "we have Heinecke who could be traded" in response to Denver trading Lock. They've been building up the potential disappointment of not getting Wilson, and I get that they are fans too, but they more or less dismissed the notion that Seattle wasn't trading Wilson to an NFC team.

There are reports from credible folks that Seattle was not going to trade Russ to an NFC team. And this is reinforced by the fact that Philly was in the hunt and they have 3 first rounders this year, even two of them is a better offer than what Denver offered in terms of picks.

Any reporter that keeps banging the "Russ didn't pick us" is just looking for clicks and rile up the fan base IMO.

Seriously, Im not giving up any serious assets for a late first round pick that has shown next to nothing over three years, when we can draft our own and give up nothing for him.
He’s played one game in 3 years backing up Rogers. He would be better than anything coming out of the draft and has 3’years experience. I would offer a 4th or 3rd.

I agree with this, I'd take Love over Mitch , we already know what MT is.. Love hasn't had a legit shot.

He's 23 years old, hell he could be a rookie this yr..

I'd offer a 4th today and if they say no, offer a 3rd

I am starting to agree with you. Oh well, it is always something that foils us catching the big fish.

Re: 2022 veteran QB options

Love looked terrible in limited action last year. Definitely wouldn't give up anything better than a 5th for him. I'd rather go with a more established vet like Winston or Mariota.

ACL surgeries/recoveries are so routine now. I mean at this level, they are all but fullproof.

This is the same reason I'd be fine with us picking the WR Williams from Alabama at 11 (hopefully its a QB, but I'd be OK with BPA here and QB in round 2).

He did look bad but it was half of a game? Mitch played for 2 seasons and didn't show anything.. I'd take Winston over both but who is to say the Saints won't re-sign him? Or that he would even come to WSH
