My only reasonable explanation to this is that the redskins are planning or already trying to sign another free-agent and use that cap money for the signing bonus/salary. And they have to have that cap space right now.

Well Ramsey was gone whether we needed cap space or not. This was a decision that was a long time a coming, my friend.

Yup, agreed. Just a prediction that the cap space that was freed by his trade would be used in part to sign another free agent that may happen soon.
