NO vs ATL

Was it just me or were the ref's letting Saints CBs get away with a lot of contact (albeit minor)? They were all over Falcons WR...I haven't seen CBs play that tight since the NFL instituted the no contact rule a few years ago.

p.s. I feel good about playing the Falcons after watching the dismal performance. As for playing the Saints, we'll see how they develop...hopefully they'll stick it up before we play them.

Re: NO vs ATL

That was pretty cool to watch at the begining.....I was rooting for NO; but the game was boring towards the end.

That punt block was awsome.

I wasnt paying that much attention to the game, but the NFL officials have a tendency to be allowant to feel good stories. I sometimes feel for the team thats in a no win situation. It's not like the game is fixed, but the team that doesn't have the emotional advantage is fighting a huge uphill battle.

Re: NO vs ATL

I was tied going into the game in FF. I had Bush and the other guy had Horn and we were both stuck at 0-2 so far.
I win.

Re: NO vs ATL

Oh, and I noticed that the calls seemed to be going NO's way all night too.

When I was watching before the game started all I could think about is the Skins v/s the Giants last year when their owner had just passed away. At first it semed the calls where going the Saints way but when a team is strugling like the Falcons did last night the penalties seem to add up even more. With the corners they where just playing tight coverage and they could have thrown some more flags but I would say the coverages where just very good.

Re: NO vs ATL

The Falcons ran into an emotional buzz saw. Reminded me of when the Skins went into NY last year. There was just no way the Falcons could match that intensity.
