Can the Starting D Turn it Around?

I keep hearing how this will be the first game since game one of the preseason that all the projected defensive starters for 2006 will be on the field together. Do you think this will make a big difference? Will we continue to see poor tackling and our LB's exposed in coverage? Or will we see a dominant defense of 2004-2005???

there are no more excuses now. everyone is healthy , for the most part. it seems like alot of the problems are the timing of the blitzes. they are showing alittle too early, or alittle too late. then everyone on offense gets a chance to adjust

I saw this stat and it made we want to curl up in the fetal position and cry

Seriously though, I think and I hope that we show no mercy against Romo on Sunday. Mess with his head.

I expect this to be by far the best performance by our defense this season. The health is one factor, but the bye week, the back to basics practice and the newer players having half a season now to get acclimated. Also the team is desperate, and it seems they need that at times to play their best.

I totally agree. In the Giants game, Manning came up to the line time after time and paused a minute while we showed our blitz. Then he would take a step back, make an adjustment, and kill us on the play.

Hopefully the starting corners will be able to play one on one coverage. If so, Gregg W. will blitz like in years past! Let's just hope Carlos Rogers doesn't play 10 yards off Terry Glenn.
