Remember Skip Hicks?
I just read in the WP that he got cut by the Bengals yesterday.
I remember when he was battling it out with Davis for our starting job 5 years ago. Its sad that he really never got his career going anywhere.

yea I was reading that to yesterday. The bengals are pretty set at HB though with rudi johnson and rookie chris perry.
Hicks will get picked up, he played great in NFL europe this year so people have a lot of film to watch on him. Might go to the fins.

I was wondering how a guy who scores 3 rushing TDs against the Eagles in one game is not worth anything to anyone around the league? I know Skip was never too quick to hit the hole but he definately had speed. |

You know, Skip Hicks like Larry Centers really had a great career with the Redskins and when I learned that Hicks was in NFL Europe, it was sad. I remember how all of his jerseys were selling out all over the D.C. area and the next year he was gone. The HB position is a difficult position to stay healthy in.

Watson is still in Cincy, he's their #2 back for now until Perry beats him out.

One thing I remember about Hicks is he never seemed to get through the line well. Always seemed to want to get to the outside but didn't have the speed to get there.

Speed wasn't Hicks problem, he had plenty of that, it was vision and hitting the holes that were in front of him. He danced too much and always looked for the homerun, kinda like Reggie Brooks in his 2nd year.
