Re: Redskins_P presents Best Training Camp Battle

I am actually very surprised that so many people think the best training camp battle will be Smoot vs Rogers. AT this point, I feel Smoot is almost twice what Rogers is. Rogers would have to be amazingly productive to make that a competition.

Fox vs Landry et al. I think Fox won't go away easy.

And that's the same reason we let productive guys like Pierce and Ryan Clark walk. Fox filled in nicely for us last year. If you watch the games as much as I do you would know that. No offense 'Quake. The FO may be itching to upgrade several players who wasn't drafted in the first round. Which makes no sense. More accurately, they would rather keep Fox as a special teamer and look to aquire 'first round talent' regardless of cost...

Judge a player by his game, not by where he's drafted.

i do watch the games like you do if not better than you no offense there either but dont compare vernon fox to antonio pierce who is a top middle linebacker in the league and ryan clark is also twice the player fox is and we let clark go to get arch so vernon fox is a good backup like omar stoudmire those 2 will basically do what stoudmire did for us in 2005 which is play the dime packages and blitz

And Arch couldn't send Fox to the bench? What logic are the coaches using?

No way!!!!!!

Even if Gibbs doesn't think JC is ready, it's already too late...He started him last year, now if he drops him after an eintire off season to prepare, JC's confidence would be shattered and i would doubt he'd ever start for us after that!

And haven't JC and Brunell been in Saunders system for the same amount of time?!

(BTW if this post was a joke, it just isn't funny!)

Well "Williams" needs to rethink his priorities because apparently Williams didn't like the way Walt Harris tackled either.
What an arrogant ass...

his costumes were bad because they calmed everyone down and helped them relax and he got us into the playoffs

i would not say all of that. Gw's scheme still works the players just failed to execute it much of last year because of injuries. Look at the games in which the defense played good (ex. panthers) we shut steve smith down and everything else they tried.

I totally disagree. There's no way Smoot will effectively challenge Rogers. The Smoot of a few years back? Yes. This one? No. Smoot's clearly a backup now and lucky to be one.
