If we win the next 3 games
if we win the next 3 games and collins is the QB in those wins and we make the playoffs. if campbell is healthy and ready to play in the wildcard game who should start? campbell or collins. i know you shouldnt lose your job to injury but it would be an interesting decesion. to me i think campbell should start he has played most of the season and brings more to the table than collins. he is more mobile and has a stronger arm. but collins knows this system so well and it seemed that when he came in v.s. the bears they opened up the play book more for him. just a thought i had. but we still have to play the games and see if this even possible.

Re: If we win the next 3 games
Whole lot of if's there. Like many have pointed out in here there is a reason Collins has been a career backup. He may know the system but something has held him back over the years from becoming a full blown starter. If Cambell can come back which I doubt, I say let him have his team back. Win or lose stick with your future guy.

Re: If we win the next 3 games
I'm pretty sure this is already being discusses elsewhere but you have to go with Collins.
1. To make sure Campbell doesen't re-injure himself 2. If Todd Collins get us into the playoffs that would be 4 games in a row he would have won. If Collins wins out the rest of the season I believe he deserves to start in the playoffs. |

In all fairness everything one way or the other ends up being discussed in other threads.

Re: If we win the next 3 games
IF Dallas and the Giants already have their seasons locked up before they play us, maybe they sit guys and we win in a walkover. If we don't have our dreams, all we are left with is our marriages. J-Dawg

Re: If we win the next 3 games
I never understood why you cannot lose your job to an injury. I always thought that the best player should start and there could be a chance that Collins is better than Campbell right now.

It's a myth that you can't lose your job to injury. It happens all the time. Ask Kurt Warner and Tom Brady how they got their shot

Re: If we win the next 3 games
Campbell is the best player. If Collins strings together some wins im sure the defense will be responsible for it. Campbell has played great under the circumstances with the injuries, and revolving door at WR. Jason Campbell is a much better QB than Todd Collins. Collins did his job by playing effecient enough to get us the win Thursday...but if Todd Collins started every game this year we would be a 4 win team.
Anybody who says Collins should start over a healthy Campbell this yr must beleive that Todd Collins should start next year..lets not over think what Collins did Thur and remember JC is our QB of the future and bottom line- he gives us our best chance to win. |

Re: If we win the next 3 games
Dude...Sure JC is the QB of the future and you should stick with your future guy...but you probably shouldn't Gamble the future if we were in the playoffs by putting in an injured campbell! I gotta imagine that if collins gets us 3 wins that joe is going to let him keep his spot.

Re: If we win the next 3 games
I think if JC was healthy and they started TC I feel that would split the locker room b/c most veterans would feel they should put JC in. TC doesn't as much chemistry with the starters has JC. We all have seen JC make deep passes down field TC can't do that period.

Re: If we win the next 3 games
Just win, baby, win. I don't care who starts. JC, TC or whomever. The Gibbs legacy has always been the "no-name" QB anyway. If they split time, so be it, just as long as we get the W.

IF it happens and we end up in the postseason after some consecutive good games from Collins, I think we absolutely we stick with the hot hand. It would be foolish to risk a playoff berth on a young QB coming off a month-long injury.
