Re: D.C. Area Warpathers Want to Meet Up for Seattle game?
Yea its a beer that was once locally to Ireland and then Guiness bought it and began dristributing.
Smithwick's - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Smithwick's (pronounced 'smith-icks') is an Irish red ale style beer from Kilkenny in Ireland. Smithwick’s was originally brewed in St. Francis Abbey Brewery in Kilkenny, known as 'Smithwicks Brewery' until c.2000. The brewery is situated on the site of a Franciscan abbey where monks had brewed ale since the 14th century, and has ruins of the original abbey on its grounds. It is Ireland’s oldest operating brewery, founded by John Smithwick in 1710 on land owned by the Duke of Ormonde. It is the major ale producer in Ireland. It was purchased from Irish Ale Breweries in 1965 by Guinness and is now, along with Guinness, part of Diageo. Smithwick’s is now brewed in Dundalk as well as in Kilkenny. Smithwick's is the third most popular beer in Ireland after Guinness and Magners (Bulmers in Ireland, Magners outside of Ireland because of copyright laws) and continues to be Ireland's largest selling brand that isn't a stout or cider. p.s. its delicious. ![]() |

Holy Crap- Channel 4 talking about our get together! WOW! Can't wait to represent!
Not that this needs to be said, but if you own a Taylor jersey and you're coming, wear it!

Re: D.C. Area Warpathers Want to Meet Up for Seattle game?
Damn man. I'm so excited. I lived in Florida from Jan. 1998 thru June of '07, so I wasn't in town for our playoff berths in 1999 and 2005. That means the last time I was living in DC and the Skins were in the playoffs was 1991! I was 13! I love the Skins as much as anyone on this site, and I'm really, REALLY pumped for this. I wish the game was NOW!

Re: D.C. Area Warpathers Want to Meet Up for Seattle game?
My wife and I might be joining yall. I'd be coming from Hagerstown/Frederick area, anyone know what the closest metro station to me would be.. just moved here not too long ago and don't know the metro thing real well. Also, if we would just drive in, how's the parking near the bar?
