Re: New GZA Album
First, the beats are sick on about 10 tracks. Lyrics are a hit on 9 tracks.
Favorite Tracks: * Pencil (sharp as a sword). * Groundbreaking (beats is sick). * 0 Percent Finance (story telling that's all told through car brands). * Paper Plate (he tears 50 cent a new one). * Cinema (dark but the beats are fire). * Life is a Movie. Honorable Tracks: * Columbian Ties. * Firehouse. * Path of Destruction. * 7 Pounds.

Re: New GZA Album
I've always been a big Wu-Tang fan. The GZA is probably the best lyrically, with Raekwon a close 2nd, IMO. His first album, Liquid Swords is a classic. I didn't even know he was still making albums.
I might have to pick this one up. Thanks Saden. |

Re: New GZA Album
The previews sound good. Definitely like the beat on Groundbreaking.

Re: New GZA Album
I have been hearing good things about this album, but I can't imagine it being better than Liquid Swords.

Re: New GZA Album
Liquid Swords = Best Wu Album ever (including the group's 36 Chambers).
I like the "Pro Tools" album title too... the beats are smokin (just from what I've heard on the amazon previews)... if they match his flow, this should be good. |

Re: New GZA Album
Liquid Swords is classic and its quality can never be denied. Pro Tools will definitely go down as one of his best albums though.

GZA is a genius for a reason
I want to give a shoutout to the Grandmasters album.
