Everyone is so pumped about Horton, I bet you forget his name in a couple years. Flash in the pan. He will be as meaningful as Zorn's 6-2 start.

2 years in and giving up on Horton already?

I think he can become a Doughty type of player. Solid, not spectacular, but definitely the kind of guy you want on your team in terms of work ethic and effort.

I think it was more Jim Zeches (West Coast Scout) but in all honesty it was really former Redskins coach DeWayne Walker who said "check out this guy"

Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal

So ESPN sent out a text from Schefter that says "Mike Shanahan summoned his agent to negotiate contract with Redskins"

Here is my question: Does this mean that there is a sticking point that the agent needs to work through, or is it just the final step of the process?

Sounds like it means Shanahan is ready to go, now he's handing if off to his agent to handle the contract negotiations.

Wouldn't that be something

Montag and Allen will meet this afternoon for all those wondering and concerned that Snyder isn't letting Allen do his job.

speaking of zimmer, profootballweekly just ranked him the 2nd best DC in the league. he would be a great addition here.

Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal

PFT was saying the rumor is MORE than $10 mil per year. That is just retarded money. And, unless we have to fire him "for cause," (thank you Al Davis) that money is all guaranteed. So if Shanny crashes and burns, we're deeper in the hole than ever...
