Off topic, but I was pulling for Butler. Great game though.

Re: New possible trade/draft scenarios
How could you do that to the poor kids of Butler? Their $41k annual tuition rates makes Duke like a crappy public school. Those kids have nothing left.

Butler should be proud of their season. Duke and Coach K do it again!

Re: New possible trade/draft scenarios
Right off the bat, Baltimore looks like an ideal trading partner. They will move LT Jared Gaither for either Haynesorth, Rogers, or Cooley.
The Rams would probably move LT Alex Barron for Landry. The Saints are another potential partner to get LT Jermon Bushrod, with Greg Williams running the defense, he may want either McIntosh or Haynesworth. The Colts are looking to move LT Charlie Johnson, and they also need defensive help at DT and LB, so if Shanahan wants to dump Haynesworth and eat most of his salary, he will have no trouble finding a trading partner. The Steelers are unhappy with their O-line, and have 10 picks. Most likely their 1st-2 go for Offensive linemen. They need CB help and Rogers for RT Willie Colon is a possibility. It appears clear to me now that Haynesworth will be dealt for offensive help. Landry and/or Rogers will probably go also. It's possible that if Okung is gone, and either Suh or McCoy are available, they would select either and then trade Haynesworth for an offensive Tackle. |

Re: New possible trade/draft scenarios
I'd take Berry or the FS from Texas at #4 and if Gaither can be moved for Rogers then so long Rogers and Barron for Landry. If Haynesworth can be shipped then we draft Suh or Mccoy at #4. It all sounds good right?

Re: New possible trade/draft scenarios
I would take Berry or Mays. From what I heard Earl Thomas (texas) is more of a safety/CB hybrid. If not I heard gaither can play on the right side so we could draft gaither on the left.

Re: New possible trade/draft scenarios
Mays at #4 would be a horrible overpayment.
Berry or Earl Thomas...a slight stretch at #4 but not as bad as Mays. We really shouldn't use that pick on a safety at all. Tackle is a bigger need. Remember, last year we didn't have Chris Horton to bench Landry for. Also, I think Kareem Moore has a bright future. Along with Doughty, we're already fairly deep at Safety even if we lose Landry. Could we use another one? Sure...but we're not desperate enough at the position to use a #4 pick on a safety. We'd be playing Vinny Ball again, ignoring our biggest need for a flashy player who could be great, but wouldn't really be helping our team as much as the Draft pick could.

Re: New possible trade/draft scenarios
why on earth would anyone take berry or mays that high? berry will probably be a top 10 pick, but certainly not as high as 4. mays will be lucky to get drafted before the 20th pick.

Re: New possible trade/draft scenarios
Taylor mays could be good (not #4 good tho), but the more i watch him, the more i see Landry. Strait line guy getting toasted on double moves.

Taylor Mays should and probably will play LB in the pros.

Re: New possible trade/draft scenarios
Gaither isnt going anywhere, the Ravens were just threatening to trade him to force him to come to voluntary workouts.
