Redskins vs. Bills (Preseason Game 1) Thread

Also, really relieved that we are opening our preseason against a horrid defensive team like the Bills. Alot of reports that have them switching to the 3-4 say they just dont have the personnel, and that their defense is a mess, worse than even last years...(30th in League).
That should bode well for our offense putting up some points and getting early confidence and momentum. Nothing like beating the shit out of a team to really get all your guys believing and come together as a team with a common goal.

Ya, he has always struck me as a strait shootin guy, plus he has an intelligent edge to him that alot of people dont have, like most of the ppl on NFL network, lol.

real pumped for the game. not sure what were are going to grill, not even sure i want to grill since we wont be home until 6:30 at the earliest, then the time it takes to set up the grill and once the grill is set up i have a real hard time leaving it. standing by that grill with the charcoal crackling, beer in hand, dogs running around the backyard, woman in the kitchen making the sides, that just about paradise for me.

we'll probably make an appearance at sly fox. reunite with our fellow balt skins fans.

so tonight they are going to reveal the new uniforms?
when will jerseys with the new uniform design be avail for sale?

really want to get my lady an orakpo or fletcher jersey, she is constantly hinting at it, her bday is aug 30th.

will the new jerseys be for sale before aug 30th?

Really looking forward to Austin tonight, think the kid is going to be great. Obviously I want to see Williams as well to see how well he does and no doubt, Devin Thomas, gotta get him to finish what he started against the Saints and Broncos last season.

I'll be at the game so won't talk much, heading out in about 20, enjoy the game friends.

Yeah, I want them to freaking go out and kill the Bills like the Ravens did last night to Carolina. The Ravens looked like a well-oiled machine.

I'm tired of seeing our Redskins look crappy in the preseason, then hearing excuses like, "They are using vanilla offenses", "They are getting used to the system", "So-and-so was injured." Sure, we KNOW they're not going to game-plan, use tricky plays, etc. But neither does the other team.

No more excuses. I just want to be proud in the first quarter when I see them knocking the snot out of a Buffalo Bill tonight. Hail.

Yeah, man I'm with you. Sitting on the deck with beer in hand while the grill is going shooting the shit with the wife and friends is awesome and hard to pull away from.

It's just preseason. The Spurrierskins beat the snot out of teams in the preseason.

I just want NO injuries...and maybe a crazy mile-high snap by Sundberg so we can make that call to Albright already.

I don't think they are. I think they've even come out and side we won't have any alternate jerseys this year and that they would have had to clear them with the league months ago.

Anyway, I'm interested in seeing the new D, especially the front 7.
- Also, I'm interested to see our running game and I hope to see Olinemen really hauling ass down field to keep plays going.
- And, because of my undying love for The Red Snapper, I'm interest to see if our new long snapper really blows as much as it seems like based on camp reports.

Was listening to Schien and Miller on the Blitz today. These guys have us at a min of 9 wins with as many as 11. Good stuff. Miller is very high on us as others have mentioned in the Sirius NFL Radio Training Camp Show.

Tonight will be fun to watch. There are so many things to watch not just the offenese and defense as a whole but some individual efforts as well. I really want to see what our depth looks like as well. I am interested in how some of the new vets are looking and also the late round and undrafted players look.

We definately cannot get to over or under excited after tonights game. The Redskins won't be showing to much of thier playbook.

Yeah, I'm not too focused on the score. Want to see LJ get a few carries though. I have no reason to believe that Trent Williams won't handle his business. I hear he's having an amazing camp.

Besides, LJ I'd like to Zoe flying around the ball tonight.

the metro is still an option, but it looks like it's going to cost at least $25, add in the 0.84 mile walk, and the hassle. i would rather drive and park, even if it's a couple dollars more.

Just so you know, last weekend I took the orange metro line from West Falls Church to Metro Center, to hop on the on the red into the Zoo...well, they had one of the two red lines shut down for maintenance. Chaos. It took forever to get the 3 stops from MC to the Zoo because they were using one train to go both directions, so we had to wait until it was going the right direction. Then, on the way back to the MC from Woodley, they told EVERYONE to get off the train so it could switch directions. They made a whole packed train full of people get off a stop away from Metro Center so it could change directions and go the other way. People were furious and it was hot. $32 for my wife and I and it took at least an extra hour, with a 2 year old along, who was thankfully well-behaved because he loves trains.

Why don't they do this maintenance at NIGHT?

Anyways, I'm sure you're all used to this crap, I'm from PA...no metro up here.



I'm looking for parking next time.
