I would agree , maybe Orton comes in during F/A next year , and I would think Shanny is going to draft a qb in rd 1 or 2 next April . We just need to beat the iggles and 9ers / next few games and the skins will be in good shape .

Re: Around the NFL Week 5

If we could beat the eagles and 49ers we would be at worst 5-3(and thats assuming we lose to Buffalo and Carolina which I dont see happening) thats pretty amazing considering how most of us were expecting 7-9 wins at the MOST this season! The next 4 games are all very winnable if you ask me. The 49ers will be the toughest game in my opinion.

No way we make a deal for Orton.
He is vanilla on white toast.
Lets draft a real QB next year and keep our two placeholders.

Will he come out?

Good question.

He's my fave college QB not named Luck.

This. I wish we could see what this offense is capable of with a true stud qb under center.

His only drawback is he was named after Tom Landry. I'm sure being the starting QB for the Redskins would make his family proud that he rose above his upbringing.

Re: Around the NFL Week 5

So if he continues to impress and he does come out will he go in the top ten picks next year?
If so we will have to make a trade to get him. Not sure if I want to do that.

Re: Around the NFL Week 5

I would draft in the 1st a QB, in the 2nd a C and in the 3rd a DB.

Re: Around the NFL Week 5

Philadelphia Eagles' Andy Reid mulled consultant to help defense, Juan Castillo, sources say - ESPN

Not sure if this was posted yet, but apparently Reid wanted to pull a Sherm Smith move for their D. We really need a pre-game thread but I don't want to step on Matty's toes and ruin his week by creating it lol.

See, that's why I'm rooting for OU to win the national championship. Then Jones will have won all that he can win in college and may opt for Redskins Park.
