Re: MAD about Mad Men
So how about all these rumors/speculations that Pete will commit suicide at some point this year?

But Pete did have a really really bad episode on Sunday night. He doesn't seem to be able to do anything right.

Re: MAD about Mad Men
Apparently, and I guess I missed it, a major character dies this year per some pre-season interviews. I would have assumed Greg, but maybe not.

Re: MAD about Mad Men
I thought he was going to do it a few seasons ago after Peggy told him about the baby. Now I seriously think its just a matter of time before he does it or goes postal and takes someone else (Don? Megan?) out; they've made it a point to remind us about his rifle on numerous occasions.

Re: MAD about Mad Men
I think Pete is struggling with what a lot of young just married with kids guy's struggle with, obviously it is blown up for TV but there is definitely a state of confusion for some men going from the single guy to the family guy.
I can remember just after getting married going to Vegas for the weekend with my wife and seeing other guy outings around us while I was in my mind at the time thinking I am "stuck" with her. Now after being married for over 5 years and two kids I can more then say I have no desire for the single life.

That is right! Nice catch. It would take the death of a partner to really shake up the show and Peter seems to be prime but of course this show has a way of leading you down a path then BAM! Don is making out with a guy (or something from left filed hits you).

Re: MAD about Mad Men
I tell you what I think's gonna happen. I think Ken Cosgrove will murder Pete or some broad. There's has been an creepy obsession with serial killers since the new season started. It's been very dark from one episode to the next if you think about.
I think Cosgrove sees everyone as characters in a novel he's writing and will take it upon himself to eliminate one. |

Oh, Don definitely won't die guys. You can mark his name of the list of potentials. Ditto Roger Sterling.

Re: MAD about Mad Men
I guess I was thinking of Pete eventually killing Don to end the series in a few seasons. But that would be some crazy Shizzz.

Re: MAD about Mad Men
Naw, that ain't happening. I mean it could, but Don is the type to self-destruct. Would be totally of script for him to get murdered.
Pete had a bad ****ing day at the office. Old boy Layne Price knocked him around pretty good in the conference room while all the big wigs were watching. The young college girl at the driver's ed school dumped him for the much younger guy beau and to top it off, Don Draper repaired Pete's kitchen sink in front of his wife and the other invited guests. Yeah, I think Pete's about to have nervous breakdown. The main reason I don't think Pete will commit suicide is because he's too full of himself and hate's to be embarrassed in front of his peers. Suicide would be the ultimate loser moment for him if he did that. |

Re: MAD about Mad Men
So Bett's new husband, Henry, is a GOP aid and in the midst of a political race. He could possibly be flying to D.C. or Betty, perhaps, and they die in the plane crash.
