Microsoft sets Xbox 360 pricing

Pricing on the much anticipated Xbox 360 will start at $299.99, Microsoft announced Wednesday.

There will also be a premium edition that includes a headset, remote, membership to the Xbox Live entertainment and chat network, and a 20GB hard drive, for $399.

I've had mine preordered since the day after E3 started and now I need to start putting down 60-80 every paycheck so that I can have it paid off before it launches. I'm kinda P.O.'d that they aren't making the harddrve standard, but with all of the extra's that I was gonna wind up getting anyway for less than what they'd cost seperately aren't so bad. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that the store I preordered at will have a trade in offer with my old x-box, lol. This is gonna be one expensive ass fall is all I can say, lol, when I combine my football expenses with my game expenses.

the launch of the new xbox won't read HD-DVDs, that feature will be added to the second revision.

I heard today that the super duper edition will have chrome enhancements that won't be available on the regular edition and there' r rumors that there's a chance the games might be cheaper than estimated and might stay @49.99.

that might be one of the ones that stays @the early estimated jump to 60 but I personally wouldn't be suprised to see most of them be 49.99 after what I heard earlier today. anybody else that's getting one know what game/s they might be picking up since with the free 30day x-box live that comes with the system, I know I'll be looking to people to play with and against online.

So maybe if you get the one sittin' on dubs and trimmed in bling it might raise the price up a few benjamins...

what is better the xbox 360 or ps3. I will have a hell of a time deciding, i have always liked xbox over ps2 but that might change with this new system. Also i can hit up a nintendo if it is actually better, i'll probally wait and play them at friends houses and such then buy which ever i feel is better later
