Re: Give Props to Brunell
Brunell started the game off hot, and quickly cooled down. He made some big throws, he missed some big throws, and he made some awful throws. If this were a one week trial, he'd probably be our #1 WR. But does anyone want to bet he'll play well again next week? Or the week after? Brunell feels the pressure "Oh shit, Im gonna lose my job, time to take some risks." then once he has the job secure he becomes firmly entrenched back to his old ways.
While Brunell played decent, he didn't play great. He about got Portis killed with a high ball, threw two bad ints, one into a lineman, and overall moved the team by going deep and getting PI calls (proving our WRs get more than open, Dallas has a strong secondary and we were blowing by!). I still want a change at QB just because I don't see this being a regular occurance.
