^ Agreed. The Rams are set on taking Bradford I believe. The Steelers would probably not want to start all over again with a rookie QB, or rely on Batch/Dixon/Randle El.
This is a rumor that's blowing things way out of proportion. Yes, Rooney is beyond angry with Ben. Yes, I think he'll suspend him if the league doesn't. However, he's their QB and until Roethlisberger does something really severe (jail time, full-year suspension), he'll be retained as their QB. Remember, Jerome Harrison is still on the team. While Holmes was sacrificed to send a message to Ben, the team isn't completely opposed to keeping bad characters around. In fact, because Holmes was almost cut/was traded to send a signal to Roethlisberger shows that they really want him to straighten up and remain on the team...they do value him as a football player but they'll probably just have to tolerate him as a human being. Their ultimate goal is still winning.
