at the end of the application filling process, its the last thing they ask if i remember correctly - gender, race.

i also believe (after a good year or so of applying for fed jobs and being highly qualified) that you will not get hired unless you are a minority, disabled or military vet.

the fed govt reply was that i had the pre-requisite qualifications but i wasnt selected for the interview process . . . i hate DC and the fed govt.
